is this really outcoaching? because of the choosing a side thing? that was a decision made well before the game im sure

he doesn't touch the defense which shut down one of the best offenses in the league

he settled for a 50 yard field goal with a rookie kicker to win

he won with the RB he refused to play for two weeks

i dunno kinda feels like he just sorta kramer'd into this win

As I said in the game thread, seemed like he finally read into the Huddle thisbpast week.

Literally consensus here was finally the gameplan he rolled with offensively. About fuging time.

Ball control, Rico heavy, QB light.

I agree.  I think the huddle is too hard on Evero.   His entire defensive plan is to get the other team into the red zone so he can hold them to a field goal.    I think we are a safety and a off ball linebacker away from a truly elite defense  and hopefully they open the purse for him in the next FA and Draft.

He was a good soldier last year when the FO fuged him yet again on talent, to prop up their stupid mistake.
I haven’t judged him for last year. It wasn’t his fault. If he gets another year and we add to the talent of his unit, I expect competency.

Well, we knew it largely because of how he approached the Dallas game.  And Foxball. But we saw it done with this team and know it can be done.

All valid and kind of where I land.

im ecstatic we won, but we’ve lost several games we shouldn’t have because of his refusal to make adjustments despite how crystal clear the need was.  And this is a much bigger credit to Evero and the defense and Fitzgerald, because the decision to take the game out of your QB’s hands because you don’t trust him and force us into kicking a 50+ yard FG attempt on a windy Lambeau day to win the game was so conservative it would make John Fox blush.  We’re lucky Fitz was up for the moment.

One way or another, we beat a far better team. Weird to not give the staff any credit but whatever

    • I watched a clip of all the offensive snaps. Young threw into some tight coverage and the guys made some plays on the ball. He also really missed some throws.  He has this middle of the field thing into a tight window pretty good and made three or four nice plays but he was just too inconsistent with his accuracy especially in the red zone. Today and in general.    That Int where people were chastising Legette for ‘not fighting through the coverage’, he in no way could have gotten to that ball. IMO. I think he thought it was going to hit the ground and didn’t see the defender coming for it. But not sure what he could have done. The camera doesn’t show the spatial relationship very well, I think the ball was way off. maybe 6 feet or more off target to the inside of the field.  Rico is a beast. And a very good receiver.   That was my impression without dissecting and rewinding, just letting the video roll. I did rewind the int two or three times to look at that one.
    • My biggest issue with keeping Darnold, which I felt we should have done, is we would still have Fitterer. And everything that came with that.  I think Morgan is going to be good.  Baker, just did not play well at all here. Not sure what else we were supposed to take away from it at the time.  That’s my short ‘I don’t want to argue about it’ take.
    • Even if we somehow make the playoffs we will be one and done so fast. Seattle, Rams, TB, Panthers, Detroit and Philly are all better than us.
