The best ability is availability

Sure, but busting is generally about performance is it not? Many talented players have been robbed of their careers because they got hurt.

Well based on performance in order for us to be legit contenders we need to lean on our strengths and tighten up some positions.  First we need to get fully healthy on the OL.  We have given up too many sacks. We also need a better LB core that is built to stop the run. We currently rank 20th. Also need DBs to be more opportunistic. Too many potential INTs dropped. Other than that lets keep focusing on the run and being unpredictable in the passing game kind of like the Detroit Lions formula. They have a Goff who is a game manager however the run game is top notch and his OL gives him time to drop dimes. This is who we should try to be if we decided to trade... Then trade for a LB and DB

    • This guy pre-draft was saying he could take or leave football, and he seems to have been playing with that mentality ever since lol.
    • Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.
    • Bryce doesn't like throwing into the middle of the field unless the play broke down or it's set up to give him a passing lane.  So because of this issue, most of the passing offense has to be outside the numbers towards the boundary. So you see him throw a lot of dump offs, swing routes, short side out routes, comebacks or deep balls outside the numbers using the boundary as protection of an interception.    Pretty easy for a NFL defense to see this and scheme against it.  All you have to do is run a shell cover 2 deep dime, LB plays a hook underneath, take the flat away with a blitz/flat zone option for the two inside DB's, outside two DB's play hook zone underneath and carry anything deep.    Pretty much what NO ran to take away Rico while also limiting What Bryce can do as well.
