all I know is what I see on the field and I don’t see the super smart computer guy that was promised. I see a guy that just a few weeks ago forgot how many timeouts he had, which demonstrates a problem remembering up to 3.

Very smart of Bryce to limit to 100 yards a game to save his longevity. With this production he could be our starting QB for 15, 20 more years.

Bryce’s playbook has gotten smaller every single week since he’s been in the nfl. Hes one of the worst qbs in the league after his first read and I get the sense they’re only running a handful of passing plays at this point. Over half his career production has come when games are out of reach and defenses pull off.

Is it Canales who failed to whisper or the QB who was what he was and that is now all he can be? I think Dave has improved him somewhat. I mean, I think he has hit his ceiling. A couple of times.
Canales is limiting his floor by limiting what he asks of him, apparently.

We get it, Bryce sucks. It’s who we have, you guys saw Andy last week. This is who we are for awhile. We run the ball and ask Bryce to hit a couple layups. We’ll win some and lose some. The good QBs don’t grow on trees. We’ve had one, his shoulder fell off his body. Browns have had zero, Dolphins last one had a cameo in Ace Ventura. Sucks to suck.

Exactly. I know a lot of doomers on this site are sure we'll pick up the option and not bring in competition and that Tepper is too personally invested. But this kind of horrible toothless performance week in and week out won't get him more time. We will have a different QB next year.

Just kidding. He did what he could. His footwork did improve but that didn’t really do anything to improve his velocity or anything. Is what it is

Everyone keeps comparing Bryce to Andy Dalton who a.) had more yards than he did yesterday and b.) played with a broken thumb.

I sure hope so. The reality of the situation seems plainly obvious but I've just watched the Panthers do so many obviously dumb things in real time that I can't feel certain.

At this point unless Bryce Young finishes the season playing horrendously bad he's likely back on the 5th year option at the least. This is backed up by the actions of the FO as they have doubled and tripled down. Which is assuredly from the Tepper's. All we can do is hope that this time they will actually push him with real competition.
