Making excuses. Come on, you can do it.

Throw better balls.

lol didn’t realize how emotional you’d get over this.

You’re so jaded with your hate for Bryce you couldn’t even realize something as obvious as a pass that hit a WR in the hands should be caught. Which unfortunately is on par for this place lately

A bunch of non ball knowers simping to one another.

Rough look

Nah man - I just dislike the double standard.

I don't hate Bryce at all - in fact I like the guy. I don't think he's our QB of the future tho. But I can use clear, direct language to assess him and other players: "Bryce threw a bad ball that got picked." I don't need to say "The ball came out fluttering and the wind took it," as if the ball itself decided to just be a bad throw. For instance... TMac shoulda caught the ball. Not... Not the ball came out of his hands.

Live I thought the ball was thrown too high but it was better than what I thought. Like I said.

For people like FreeFua and others every single player on the Panthers roster exists solely to eventually be a scapegoat for Bryce Young. You would think this kid was one of the 5 best QB's in the NFL three years in a row and not consistently amongst the worst in many statistical metrics.

That pass to XL was just trying to repeat the last TD to XL.  Which really didn’t make sense even when it worked.   Basically expecting XL to beat his man so badly that he can cross behind him??? Which is what happened when it worked.    We got lucky when it worked IMO.  Hate the design and ask of that playcall.

Wind is a seperate issue.

it was the exact same route, throw, player and area as the other TD.  Mirror image.  They tried it again.

and my comment isn’t even knocking Bryce.  It’s Dave.   Seems like a bad idea given the ask of XL.  He has to beat his man so badly that he can cut around him/behind him.   Or it’s them thinking they can fool the DB into a corner fade when it isn’t one.   But why attempt that twice in the exact same spot with everything the same.

I can't even tell where the ball is supposed to be going from how it's thrown and the trajectory.

He wasn't making the same throw as in Miami. He lofted the ball to the corner pylon and the wind blew it all over the place. You can see how far the ball is pushed to the right from the perspective in that video. Now the fact that it wasn't a tight spiral didn't help either. Actually it was wobbly coming out of his hand, but he seems to do that. It still usually gets to where he wants it to go. Horrible ball in that wind. Hopefully lesson learned.

Bryce CAN throw a good ball but he throws those ugly ducks so often. I don't know if others have been picked off but they definitely have allowed defenders to get back under them.  For our sake I hope he can adjust mid season and fix that. I'm just... Skeptical he can.

Fwiw I thought he was attempting to get the ball to the pylon too.

Yes he CAN. Just like he CAN push the ball downfield, he just doesn't. And I have to believe he's had to throw in windy weather before. Should have known better than to put that duck in the crosswind. Don't think he did it again.

I have never advocated for giving Bryce the 5th year. I think we should look elsewhere in the offseason. I'm just not capitulating to the blind hate.

Blind hate?   Thats where we are now.   Midget throws for 100 yards and now it's blind hate.

I didn’t know he’s the only QB this season who’s had a costly turnover

thanks for the clarification

Bryce's rankings right now:

Passing yards: 25th

Completion percentage: 30th

TDs: 21st

Yards per attempt: 34th

Passer rating: 30th

QBR: 24th

Now that we've covered all the areas where Bryce is somewhere between bad and awful, let's shift to the things where Bryce is elite tier...

Total turnovers: tied for 3rd most in the league

INTs: tied for 3rd most in the league

INT %: tied for 6th most in the league

Bad throws: tied for 4th most

Bad throw %: 4th

Fumbles: tied for 3rd most in the league

Bryce puts up basement level game manager stats with gunslinger turnover numbers and zero big play potential. That's the worst combination of traits possible.

    • I'm honestly looking beyond DC at this point. He's too green and is making too many simple mistakes. I think he's gone after next year. I think the intention in LV was to use Mayer and Bowers similar to Gronk/Hernandez in NE. That's never really struck me as Carroll's MO though after watching him for years out here in Seattle.  He's talented enough and I think he just got lost behind the phenom that is Bowers because he couldn't develop in Carroll's system. I'm surprised Bowers is used as much as he is, though they really don't have anyone else. TE's don't really exist as focus receivers in Carroll's offense. I live in the PNW so I've been subjected to a lot of Seahawks football.  Coaches other utilize their TEs. We should too. Tremble is OK, but he's always been a project as a receiver. Again, all this is of we could get him at the right price. I wouldn't pay a lot because we need to spend on defense.
    • David. Hey, money talks.....it has been acknowledged that Tepper isn't shy on spending. He's had the NFL equivalents of used car salesman after used car salesman line up to grift him of a big chunk. Canales is one of them.  Until that changes, it's gonna be tough to build anything to last.
    • Well it's who they tied themselves to for at least another year but i agree. They will be lucky to find a useful contributor but until I see the DC situation change I am presuming it's SSDD. Well it sounds like maybe in 2027.
