Was it Tremble he missed on the Tet throw that the announcer said he simply couldnt see him streaking down field.  Thats the type of poo that he cannot overcome, thats the type of poo Dave sees every week on film review

Kinda like how Stafford miss Adams wide open downfield?

I swear this board expects perfection from their QB at all times

It was the same crap with Cam. Throws a ball high and the pitch forks come out as if he’s the only QB ever to miss high

Cam didn't clean up his footwork until the very end unfortunately.

But Cam Newton also didn't need 40 career starts to finally showcase his worth as a #1 pick. Completely different situations.

Told y'all he would be the greatest QB Carolina ever had...the first to win a Superbowl.

Lol, the dude blows on the road and when the run game is stymied, he can't do anything.  He's asked to make a few throws a game just to keep defenses honest.  To his credit, he did that today. Congrats to him. If he could do this on the regular, he would have more folks in his camp.  Again, it takes a complete game...an all three phase team effort for him to win. That is a tough ask for an entire NFL season and unsustainable.

Ever heard of this thing called ‘reality’? I think maybe you should look it up.

Traditionally, you come with the ‘I told you so’ poo, after what you told us about actually happened.

Newton was a Brett Favre style OMG-WTF quarterback, capable of throwing one pass that made you go "OMG" and immediately following it with one that earned a "WTF".

Bryce doesn't throw that many OMGs, some WTFs but probably fewer than his biggest critics think.

I just know I’ve never gone back and forth on a qb so many times in my life!

It's like a love/hate relationship. I know in my heart of hearts that Young can't do it. But sometimes he does. Just not enough to count on in the long-term. I hope the decision makers can see that too.

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
