I'm talking about a serious option. Not someone you pulled from the bargain bin.

The 5th Year reportedly is being picked up. 

Which, they were going to do. Is Bryce the future? Still very doubtful if not an outright no. But the 5th year option won't break the bank, he's an expensive backup if nothing else if we find a guy. 

If/when he's playing here under the 5th year, he'll be paid as like the 22nd QB in the league. That's...fine.

It would make for an awkward environment to just let him ride out the deal so the 5th year makes sense.  Especially given the college football landscape.  

Think QB is going to be a big need regardless of Bryce.  If he does end up sucking again, get banged up, or whatever, there's no way in hell we continue with Dalton.

It's just Dan Graziano giving his opinion because he believes it to be the most logical option. There's been no official team movement and likely won't until the offseason because there's literally no reason to not wait until then.

Here is mike kaye and scott fowler discussing the 5th.  They both would do it not really based on performance but being a bargain at 26 million.  Says you can still move on after his 4rth if he doesnt improve.  No mention of competition and no mention really of Dan and dave tethering themselves to Bryce.   They both seem pretty 'meh' overall on him

People were making Brees comparisons. If you listened to Brees on commentary a) he's clearly doing basically zero film work these days (Romo used to clearly do loads) but b) even he was calling out clear pressures e.g. "They're simulating pressure here, so you probably have to get it out quickly".

He used to obliterate us because he knew what we were running. Young clearly has no clue what the opposition is doing.

He was a dud when he was drafted and he is a dud now. The guy is a bust.

Dan Morgan can't have real talent on the roster in camp.  It will create instant issues.  That's why you saw only Dalton and Jack Plummer this year.  I mean, even a really bad PJ Walker would be pulling off throws for all to see Bryce Young can't make.   

real talent, means immediate convos when a season starts about the other guy.
