inherited the worst roster in football and a QB that isnt suitable for the NFL and has us at 5-5 18 months in with a win at Lambeau in November on top of it. He is fine. Get him a QB you can actually run a full offense with

We aren't winning because of DC... We are winning because teams either shoot themselves in the foot Non-Stop or Evero and the defense stand on their head and hold a team below 14...

"None of the wins are legitimate, its just the other team shooting themselves in the foot" is such a dumb and tired argument. You can say this about any team and any win. I mean was there any legitimate win this week or did every losing team shoot themselves in the foot?

The Packers got into the Red zone like six times last week and scored a total of 13 points from it... They lost the game despite holding us to 16 points and never punting the ball. Their HC thought going for it on 4th and 9 down seven with the entire 4th quarter left was a smart choice... That's the kind of a game a team might win once in a season

Happy we won that game, but we had no business winning it. We won the Jets game and falcons game because of our defense. We won the dolphins and cowboys game because DC was forced to give Rico carries because Chuba got hurt.

DC can't even make basic decisions that most middle schoolers know to make... We have come out in back-to-back seasons looking like dog poo because the dude refuses to ever have our starters prepare/play in the preseason. At the end of the day, he is an awful coach that will probably at least get one more year because he has the scapegoat that it is hard to win because Bryce is so freaking awful

He is coach speak and placations. This franchise needs an ass kicker. Had one, briefly, did real good too, and well, you know. Problem being is that successful certified ass kickers generally don’t take sh from anybody, so… yeah.

If .500 is "real good" you should be content with Canales.

He doesn’t look as emotionally crippled after a loss like Rhule so I’ll give him that.

But yeah, it’s just hard to see when you have a QB that limits so much of what you can do. Although, he’s a far cry from the KOCs and McVays of the world.

He’s a bit annoying but not grating. Tolerable but nothing special.

You can fire him. You could justify it too. But odds are highly likely we won't find anyone any much if at all better or less of a yes man as his replacement. In fact that is going to be the entire coaching candidate pool.

I was going to say - which established coach is going to take the job if you fire Canales after improving the team year on year?

Tepper has fired Rivera, Reich and Rhule already. If you fire Canales when he has a Bryce Young led team at .500 then you might as well let ChatGPT call plays.

    • Reasonable. I mean I didn’t see a clear path to relief this season myself. As I have typed already, I think the QB FA class is more interesting next season and that draft is supposed to be stacked as well. There just weren’t many options this year.  When you have Tepper to contend with you have to tread lightly around this unless you are 100% certain and willIng to stake your job on it.   There were a couple of outings that helped Bryce a lot in terms of  thinking maybe he can do this, and if you are a supporter you are giving them a lot of weight. You are likely to think just get him some more help and he can do that every week. Which I think Tepper falls into that category.  And the playoffs, division champs, regardless of the way I see that, the supporters will also give that a lot of weight.    And the big one, the atmosphere In BOA for that WC game, Tepper had to be soiling himself over that. If you pulled Bryce out right now you had better be right and your new guy had better make the playoffs and look good doing it or you will be gone and your chance to build your old team back into respectability will be gone too.  So here we have Pickett on a one year deal, and Grier and King. I understand it.
    • Well, seeing as we play the Lions at home this year, pretty sure that rumor isn't true.
