Yeah, it’s big. He was playing scared of contact and with really bad hands.  And the Jags around Trevor have let him down in some big moments.  Trevor is sort of consistent IMO in his inconsistency.   He has been Trevor.   Biggest problem is the Jags primary WR didn’t show up this year.

I keep tabs on the Jags.  Trevor is no different than what they paid for.  I’d trade BTJ.

How do you pay attention to them and have not realized he has an injured shoulder?

So you just pay attention to the box scores?

Holy crap you aren't kidding. 15% drop rate, only a 50% catch rate. What's going on with him?  Approximately the same targets per game but a huge drop in production... I haven't really paid any attention but that's an insane drop off.

And not just him, I was watching a video yesterday where they were discussing excuses made for Bryce like drops and they mentioned the Panthers have I think 11 drops which is middle of the road. They then brought up the Jags have 30 drops this year.

Everybody suggesting Jameis...There really wouldn't be any need to watch the Panthers next season.

At least we’d get to watch the ball thrown past the LoS and we get to see if the skill players outside tmac are any good.

Look at his draft and free agency history. He is significantly better than any GM in Panthers history. Low bar, for sure, but there is a reason New England really didn't want him to get away.

And the last 2 years were not very impressive from what I have seen in comparison to that '23 year.

Yeah not comparing to the Panthers. It's an too easy of a curve to give, like comparing other QBs to Bryce. Texans had a great year 3 years ago and nothing much since then that I can see on thst side of the ball. He seemed to have worked well with BB for sure but we all know who wore the belt up there too. Never said he was terrible, just he had moments.

His track record as a GM in the draft from 2021-2025 has been pretty good.

Free agency has been a mixed bag, for sure.

you trying to use a week 7 injury explain away why he has been compete ass the entire season?

dude was given a thumbs up and all dealt from the mini camp thing.  If you are going to use that then every player in the NFL got a forever excuse

hell, without looking I’ll bet you a nickel most of his drops are before week 7.   And his trash play was talked about nationally  before week 7

BTJ also has never had any chemistry with Trevor.  Ever.  The whole BTJ breakout wasn’t even with Trevor it…was with a noddle arm QB that plays the game different/different ball than TL.  THAT is the real issue.   Dude don’t want to catch them balls.

trever isnt it.  mac could still grow also wouldnt mind sam howel

I wish Jones was a pending FA but he signed a two year deal with SF. Signing someone like Jones AND Howell would be the perfect vet additions. Jones is the steadier, safer bet. Howell is the riskier play, but has the higher ceiling. Then I'd STILL keep my options open in the draft.

BTJ has played bad this year though.  Leads NFL in drops as well.  Trevor’s played better than his stats show.   But he has always been scatter brained since Clemson

Most of drops are hospital balls by Trevor. He developed alligator arms

Okay, so you really haven't watched this season. That makes a lot of sense.

Damn dude, you really are a Clemson super homer.

    • Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I for one do not believe Eric Dickerson went on this podcast just to perpetuate a blatant lie. He didn't say he heard this second hand. He said he was told this by a source inside the NFL office. No way that kid should have fallen to the fifth round with the QB situation that exists on some of the teams in the NFL. I had the same thoughts as Dickerson after he didn't go on the 2nd day of the draft. And when he did get drafted he ended up on a team with essentially 4 QBs ahead of him on the depth chart: Flacco, Pickett, Gabriel, and Watson. The only reason he probably was drafted at all was so the NFL couldn't be accused of "collusion". I have no doubt his attitude turned off some people. And, he may not be able to take his game to the NFL level. But, if can't play or is a jerk, a team is at liberty to cut him at any time. This situation reeks because it looks he's never going to be given a legit chance to compete for a starting job in the league.
    • Which, it's not a difficult sell to say that the NFL colludes against players. There are ample examples of it. The specificity of that allegation is just wild, though. If that really were true, the whole fuging system is fixed. I am just not inclined to believe that.
