Bryce’s best bet would be to go somewhere like Minnesota, Rams, KC, etc and be a happy back up for a several years. But he’ll end up going to Vegas, NYJ, or Cleveland to “compete to start” and end his career before the season is over.

Damn

I'm not a proponent of Mac or blind to Bama QB omen, but maybe the one who just won a Super Bowl?

Nope, doesn't work that way. Transfers are where they finish their college career, not where they start.  Tua was their man, he's the QB they rode with and why Hurts transferred.  My point remains and Hurts is a Sooner.

Dude, people will trade for any FRP QB. Richardson will net something.

Our best bet is seeding is settled and TB sits people and Bryce goes aff against scrubs. Leaves people thinking about all the faux upside.

Should have got something for him in the early offseason, I'm sure Tepper would have not approved though

What logic exists that could explain trading a guy that is performing very well in your offense for a guy that has been atrocious in the NFL for....twice the price?

You trade him because he’s valuable. You cannot trade Purdy because of his contract. Kinda stuck in a bad spot in San Fran.

49ers will want picks and probably high ones. Like a 2 and 3 or something. And whomever trades for Mac jones will have to give him a new contract. Something like bridgewater got from the panthers.

Bryce is an add on. No one is going to trade a guy who’s shown he can start and perform well in the nfl (jones) for someone the panthers clearly aren’t going to keep around, if they’re trading for a qb. There’s no world where the panthers trade for someone like Mac jones and keep Bryce around. We saw how well that worked with darnold and baker

adding more fun to this, when the 49ers drafted lance, that was not the qb shanahan wanted; that qb was mac jones.

anyway I think the trade would probably be 2nd and 3rd, or maybe a first round swap plus a third. Then new contract for Mac jones. Bryce is an afterthought.

Answer honestly. Would you rather have Young or Richardson?

Young tbh.

Richardson straight up does not care about learning or playing football. He does not watch film. He doesn’t hang out with any of the players on the team and just has his entourage around at all times.

This was true at UF and is true now in the nfl. And he had really good coaching and players at UF.

dude will be out of the league in a few years and probably going to lose a toe to diabetes before thirty or something.

I think the writing is on the wall with Bryce and you can tell by the play calling. Canales does not trust Bryce.  We ride the running backs or die. Funny Bryce showed promise at the end of the season last year. But he somehow quickly loses confidence and goes Back to the same mentality of not wanting to make mistakes. Then he makes them. They have to bring in a vet next season and draft a WB in the mid rounds.

There is zero logical reason they would want Bryce Young and especially for Jones.

Jones may net them as much as a 3rd rounder with that contract.

They would be foolish to make such an insane trade.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were shopping Purdy instead.
