C Mac Brian Burns Dj Moore ? How soon we forget lol

As good as C Mac is, a dominating WR is worth far more than an RB.

Burns was more of a liability than an asset in his time here. He could have been so much more. I’m sure there were, but I can’t remember a single game that Burns closed a game out. I saw plenty where he was used and abused by blocking TEs while teams ran right at him.

I like DJ but he was never a true game breaker. He’s really good and put up good stats, but never dominated. Tet is on the precipice of taking games over.

Wasn’t super excited about this pick but definitely saw the value especially after Legette showed he was really raw. This was a Hurney era style home run pick and he will be an elite top 5 WR within a season or two. Reminds me of AJ Green.

I don't think it's a matter of being "on the precipice of taking games over" as much as "Canales and Bryce might finally be realizing they need to force feed him targets"

It's really felt all year long like they have been trying to prove they can spread the ball around with a balanced attack, in particularly in key situations where they just use him as a decoy route and don't even look his way before the pass is thrown.

Yes, he's had a few drops that hurt his stats a little, but in reality, what's been holding him back isn't himself, or even Bryce's play.  But the play calling and decision making by Bryce once the ball is snapped, and just not looking his way as often as a team with such a gap between WR 1 and 2 like we are right now.

Looks like someone has been going back and re-reading my posts about him from almost 2 years ago LOL.

Green has always been my comp of him going back to his Freshman year in school.

And the thing I kept saying in the lead to the draft that people thought made me sound crazy, was that I said by the time he signed his rookie extension, he'd be a clear Top 10 WR who is considered by some (or many?) to be a Top 5 WR.

C Mac is a all pro player hard to do in the nfl at any position

B Burns a legit edge that get this weird hate on here for some reason lol we still haven’t replaced him btw

Dj Moore legit but i do think Tmac have a higher upside .

i like tmac but to say he’s gone have a better career then those guys already is basically saying he’s going to a hall of famer . I sure hope he does lol

We got one boys, was happy when we drafted him instead of being content with the wr room

Given the lack of value fits to our defensive needs at number 8, I got it then. As far as being a guy critical of all the offense padding at the expense of our defense I wanted defense. It just wasn’t there.
But he has totally looked the part since he got here. Looks like a great pick.

Burns isn’t a complete player. DJ was very good but at this point T Mac looks better. And he should considering where they went in the draft. But that doesn’t always hold true.

CMC, yes you could put him higher and definitely on actual league accomplishments. T Mac does give flashes of HOF quality. So much goes into actually being that and it has to be year after year so… not right now. But the potential is pretty obvious to my way of thinking.

Burns is an all pro caliber edge rusher . Hard to find those idc what his weaknesses are . get to the QB that’s his number one job

Yeah Dj Moore ran lazy routes and low effort at times but he so good he gets away with it idk how he just does . I like tmac more rn . 6’4 and move like a gazelle sign me up every time

I hope he’s better but i just pointed these guys out because we hit big on those picks in the first round .

That’s fair, it is just a discussion. Burns and Moore were late firsts and for sure paid off that investment.

    • I did think about some of those games when typing that post.  Ugly but a different kind of ugly. We put up massive offense and then pulled a Falcons. Except we snatched the win away at the end.  Still, winning and it not being pretty is much better than losing. That team knew how to win. Mostly. But look who we had.
    • So true...look back at 2015 when we won 15 during the regular season and like half of those went down to the wire
    • Sounds like you’re just caping because I have already stated my intent when I posted.  Was it hyperbolic?  Sure.  But that’s what’s fun about this board.  I don’t need validation. I’ve been posting what I think, good or bad, for years.  In my everyday life, I speak my truth and stand on that.  I don’t care about validation, affirmation, or popularity.  I enjoy the discussion, good or bad. If you re-read, I didn’t say I’ve never seen a QB get stepped on.  I said I’ve never seen one, to the best of my memory, have that happen in that fashion on a 4th down and then lay there like the MedAlert lady.  And I said I brought up that play because again, how often do you see other QBs have that happen?  How often do you see QBs who are “super processors” decide to throw a ball out the back of an end zone on 4th and goal to go?  How often do you see them get squared up with a defender and fumble before even getting hit like a scared child?  He does poo that other QBs NEVER do.  Some have, but they don’t stick around for long.  The good ones NEVER do this poo.  And that’s the problem.  And again, yes, Zavala is a fuging chode and played his part in that play…  but I go back to Bryce and his limitations and this being an ongoing issue.  It’s like if it’s not him fuging up, someone will because Bryce is out there.
