I noteably posted a thread following the Saints game defending Canales for his play calling.  Again, I still do not think he called a bad game against New Orleans.  That said, As bad as bryce was, Canales was equally awful.  In the saints game, they legit sold out and stopped the run and because of that he was forced to pass and it was bryce not excecuting that caused the problems.

Yesterday however, play design was as poor as the actual play itself.  SF did not sell out to stop the run, we were hitting 6 ypc, but we just said no.  When we did pass it was throws to the flat, no down field, none of what was successful last week.  If we did throw past 5 yards it went to one single guy.  It was all around putrid.

I will defend his first down at the one playcall however, this was way early and he hadnt had yet to see the run game succeed really like he did later, the biggest problem was that was one of the worst reads I've ever seen a QB make.  There were 5 guys on the reciever...everyone was covered, throw the fuging ball away.

However, from there, instead of seeing that his QB had turned back into a pumpkin, he doubled down in an "effort" to get him in a "rhythm"...although without uptempo, without movement, just safe throws to the flat.  Clearly he lost faith in bryce after that, but instead of focusing on the thing thats successful, he abandoned the run game.

if we used the MIA, Dallas, and GB games gameplan last night against the 49ers, we blow them out with the 3 INTs

Miami and Dallas have the worst defenses in the league.

Packers game plan managed 16 points and won on a fluke.

So do the 49ers though you look at their defensive metrics they were near the bottom in about everything that mattered. 

I'm sure we helped their stats now however with our (offensive) performance.

Dallas is historically bad on defense.

Miami is trash.

they had two good games from a rb on a one year deal and everyone overreacted and thought we’d signed Gayle Sayers.

i don’t doubt saleh would have figured out a way to stop a hypothetical run heavy offense either. Bryce can’t hit poo

Green Bay actually has a good defense much better than the 49ers.

This game should of been reflective of Dallas and Miami with both offenses moving the ball and the first defense that gets a stop wins at the end.

Nothing about 49ers defensive numbers show they were capable of shutting down anything other than an incompatible offense that clearly the Panthers have.

You are probably right but you have to make him prove it. You change only if he proves it.
