I have never gone from hating to liking a QB this many times in my entire life.

I still don’t want him as our future but that was a great game to watch. D was huge. Bryce just doesn’t have the tools IMHO to pull out playoff wins like the elite QBs and that’s what we need to win a SB. Still not fully sold on Canales because it felt like we won in spite of ourselves. Without turnovers, we don’t win this week and we don’t have a chance to win at SF. Those are great and are part of why we’re 7-6 and also why we can get beat up by NO when we lose the turnover battle.

This team playoff fate is going to rest on Bryce's shoulders. When he plays well, we play well. We have beat 3 of the best offenses in the NFC (DAL, GB, and LA) this season.

When he sucks, we suck...as evidence by our loss to the 1-8 Saints at home to a rookie quarterback.

In typical Carolina fashion, I still think that loss is going to cost us a playoff spot this season. We're probably going to fish 1 game behind Tampa in the standings.

IDK, I could see us sweeping the Bucs, but if we lose to the Saints again in may not matter.

He is my favorite Panther. I was begging for him when he was at Holy Cross.  Spoke to his dad on FB a few times.

Sorry but its DB for me. Dude is the epitome of Carolina Panther football.

Coke does have a Mushin type quality to him. Sure handed, great blocker, tough as hell.

    • Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .
    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
