Selective sample sizing isn't going to make Bryce Young a franchise QB. How he and the team finishes the season is all that matters. If we win the South and get into the playoffs then he will have basically ended the conversation for the foreseeable future. That however should not under any circumstances preclude the team from overhauling the QB room and adding a younger QB with potential behind him. That is what a serious team concerned with winning would do regardless of what transpires to conclude the season. I would hope virtually all of us can agree on that.

What’s scary is that it is highly likely he gets off to a rough start next year. He did it year 1, year 2, and year 3. Question is, will he be able to get out of the funk quick enough to not lose the team any games?

Guess this is what we have to live with.

If he returns to start next season and we see the same old starting season poo, they would be fool's not to bench him quickly.

In fairness, Bryce also hasn't had the same successful streak that he had post-benching in 2024. He's just been mostly bad or mediocre with blips of really, really good this season.

It's illogical to continue this process much further because it's too much of a limiting factor. He isn't as good as Trent Dilfer or Nick Foles, so what is the path to the ultimate success even?

Pay me 40m to become the next off season guru of the Panthers for 9 weeks of my 7 year contract in 2026. I'll even throw a pizza party for the Huddle with a 6 pack of Bojangle's hard tea for everyone.

It won't do the Panthers any good, but it's ultimate success for me anyway.

Last 3 seasons

Drake Maye 15

Mahommes 12

Josh Allen 17

Herbert 18

Stroud 20

Mayfield 32 between 2022-2025!

You moved the goalpost to last 3 seasons and then still used wrong numbers.

Bryce has 11 fumbles in the last 21 games.  Thats high.

CJ  has 5 in his last 21 games.

Herbert has 4 in his last 21 games

I quit fact checking after that.  Hell, CJ only has 14 in his 41 game career.

I think it's time for the Huddle to chill out and pull for the kid , until we're out of playoff contention. He isn't going anywhere this year so we need him to get us to a place we haven't been in quiet a while.  That's coming from the biggest Bryce hater on this site.

People pull for the team on game days. That is the truth.

Bryce part of the team.

It doesn’t fit the stans narrative of rooting against because of Bryce but it’s the truth. And we do it knowing that any success will be blown up into ‘dots’ and big time throws and all the hype.

The day after a win it starts to sink in that now we might have to see the team pay 40 or 50 million a season for what we have watched this year. And when you clinically look at that, it isn’t smart. It isn’t uplifting.

A few nice throws on 4th down don’t erase dozens of miserable games. If Bryce plays well in every game down the stretch, win or lose, he has proven himself for next season. He lays another Saints at home dud against the Bucs or something he can be damn sure to have competition for his job next year.

Bryce has lost 6 fumbles, not 11, which is only 2 more than CJ Stroud.

recovery is largely pure luck and how the ball bounces.   Putting the ball on the ground at a high rate is a bad thing.

Maybe QB A fumbles 10 times a year and QB B fumbles 3 times a year.  QB B loses all 3 of his.  QB A somehow has 8 of his recovered in a quirky year.  QB A is still the bigger risk/red flag going forward.

and again, Bryce has a high fumble rate.......and isn't holding the ball looking for big pass plays, willingly putting his body in play, carrying a large load on his shoulders, or big yardage producer.

It's one of his clear negative qualities.  Just a reality.  At this rate, the Bryce squad is going to start arguing him being tiny is actually an advantage lol.

and imagine if we play magical cherry picks with other players.  Take the last 17 games. That would make sense.  Season worth of games.   Bryce has 6 fumbles lost vs CJ's 1 fumble lost.  CJ while doing that, is carry a bigger load on his shoulders as well.
