Dane Brugler’s panthers mock pick

Kenyon Sadiq, who goes to the Panthers at No. 13 overall in a new seven-round mock draft from Pro Football Network.

"Tight ends aren’t traditionally valued this high, and Carolina has needs elsewhere. But the value isn’t great at EDGE or CB, and Kenyon Sadiq can make a big impact on offense for Bryce Young. At 6’3″, 255 pounds, Sadiq is an explosive and compact two-phase weapon who can splice through zones, stem up slot DBs, make high-difficulty catches, and accrue RAC as a pass-catcher, while driving EDGEs off the ball in the run game."

I wonder with Evans and Tremble would be better off going LB or OLB first.

Yikes, that is not a good draft for us.  I would go Francis Mauigoa OT Miami in that scenario, but I would much prefer a LB or Edge considering we don't need Moton's replacement until '27.

Continually investing in the Dline is the Eagles model and that seems to be working

Yep. Games are won in the trenches.

I don't know this Clemson guy, but it's clear to me we need a 3-4 DE that can actually get off a block.

I assume we will be picking 15-18. Would love to trade down a couple picks for a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Need upgrade at LB and FS. CB depth could be great with next year being Mike Jackson’s last year. Don’t  love Smith-Wade on the outside if someone goes down. Also give a lineman a redshirt year. 2027 we will need a lineman starter on rookie deal. What we have will be expensive where 1 may have to go.

    • You don’t even need 1b because Tepper is the only one foolish enough to wheel that deal.    Player wise? Jake’s elbow. JR and Pep getting sideways, no Carruth, Cam’s shoulder, Luke’s concussions, it would be a long list of stuff. You can take it down to certain plays in games. Fox chasing 2 point conversions in the SB would be on my list. RMJr slipping at the end of that same game was not helpful.
    • Ultimately this just amounts to heavy revisionist history. I mean you aren't talking to someone that just popped out the womb a week ago. I was here all throughout the predraft process. The overwhelming majority of the fanbase felt like this was a fine situation and the best situation for a rookie QB to go to compared to Houston for example. The hype for Young and our "rockstar" staff was off the charts. No one could dare speak cautious skepticism of his abilities or they would be neg repped into oblivion. Only after he had one of statistical worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years did we get this narrative now that his rookie season actually shouldn't count. Complete malarkey if you ask me.
    • On the field? Since I guess it qualifies as multiple instances it might not count, but have the damn refs throw some flags on illegal hits to Cam's head in SB50. If that doesn't count, 1A. Cotchery caught it 1B. Kasey keeps that kickoff inbounds. Off the field? 1A. Team is sold to anyone but Tepper 1B. We have the patience not to mortgage the franchise on that Bryce trade. Stroudwpuldve been the better pick but he's not worth it either.
