Dream scenario for ending out the season

So if the stars all line up and the Panthers somehow win the division and the Bears win out BUT lose to the Packers twice, then we would be the #4 team in the playoffs and would face the Bears here at home. The odds are long it would happen but I would love to see that game.

I think if there was one team to want to play, it would be the Seahawks and you hope Darnold playing on the road in a big game looks like the Darnold of old in those situations.  Hope Horn can take away JSN from him and force Darnold to beat you elsewhere.

I think that would be much better than playing a Ben Johnson coached team, who you know is going to pull stuff out in the playoffs that the other team has no way of being ready for.

49ers at home. Panthers would win. Rigged garbage on MNF pissed me off, the NFL pulls that sh*t again in the playoffs I’m out for good.

Brother they rigged that game at home years ago in the 2014 playoffs. Now they just might call a fair game since they got scrutinized for the Monday night game but I doubt it.

We’re gonna be battling the refs every game from here on out.  Seahawks or Bears are probably the least likely to be rigged in the playoffs though.

Win the division from Bucs........BY implodes in the playoff worse than Delhomme and we finally get rid of BY as our QB. Get ready for 2026 with momentum for once.

If teams play us honestly and take that deep stuff away we may be able to operate good enough underneath to counter that. It is about time we started trying to force them to respect it.

But I think people should enjoy the win for two weeks because what’s in front of us doesn’t scream playoffs to me. It would be shocking if we swept TB. They aren’t Atlanta.
And even if we sweep there can be no let down.

I saw the stat of our record coming off a loss. Pretty good.

What would it be coming off a win lol? Without looking, it has to at least be pretty upside down

(I count it to be 2-4).

I don't think us being at home vs the road makes any bit of difference. We just saw them only call 1 penalty on the Rams Sunday - and if it wasn't a penalty that couldn't go uncalled (delay of game), they likely would have had 0.

And crazy enough, Rams fans were blaming the refs for losing to us 🤦‍♂️

    • Didn't  see this posted (since 2023) but since folks have been posting that you can't judge a draft class for three years (a ridiculous take), I thought I'd post this to see what people thought about the 2023 draft. Unfortunately this may not be the most interesting class to do this with but I do quite like retrospective draft grades. Would appreciate other's takes on this (and other recent) draft classes.   1(1) - Bryce Young QB: I am a bigger Bryce Young apologist than most (maybe all). I like the kid. But there is no way around it: This was a terrible pick. If he had been picked in the 4th or even the 3rd round I would feel pretty good about it. But this was the first overall pick that we gave up two firsts, our best offensive player to get.  GRADE: C -    2(39) - Jonathan Mingo WR: not much to say here here. He was here for two years. His yards per catch are on par with Bryce's yards per pass. Rough stuff. To date he has still never scored a touchdown in the NFL GRADE: F   3(80) - DJ Johnson OLB: a pick I hated as soon as it happened and an example of why the premise of this thread is honestly dumb. This was a bad pick when it happened. Most people knew it.  Then came training camp and he did not look good. Then came the preseason which confirmed what we saw in TC. Then came the season which confirmed what we saw in preseason. To date, he has half a sack in his career. GRADE: F 4 (114) Chandlers Zavala G: Honestly the best pick of this draft which really speaks to how awful this draft is. Other than Bryce, the only pick still on the team. He is mostly average or below average depth which in round 4 is not terrible. But he had a pff score of 43.5 and though I think people have unrealistic expectations for draft picks, I still would want a little more from a fourth round pick GRADE: C+   5 (145) - Jammie Robinson S: I liked the pick when it happened but ended up being a disappointment. He logged 1 tackle with the falcons last year and not enough snaps to get a grade on PFF.  GRADE: F OVERALL DRAFT GRADE: F
    • You gonna make me post Stank before every game?  I kid, I kid.
