I’ve been saying it all along. It’s back to the elementary style of football it once was, sans the air attack. Back when you played with your boys, for your school, or 💩 even in the back yard.

it is encouraging and cool to see. You do still need and benefit greatly from a general at the QB position though to keep the run defense honest. QB will always be the most important position in the game. That’s the stakes of what we are living with Bryce . You have to be willing to live and die with it, or find a way to survive. You keep paying him until you find one better. And I think as a franchise drafting one says all you need to say. It makes it known every spot is earned.

I think the real shift isn't so much a return of the run.....it's the college pass game and simple offense coming to the NFL. 

that's nerfing the pass production.  Paired w/ an increase of 2 high shell to take away the simplistic deep calls.  Not so much the run has made a comeback.  I mean, there are 3 teams over 140 rush yards a game this year......which is the same amount a decade ago.

Those QB's aren't playing poorly, though. They are just on team having a dip in success for various reasons. 

I am not sure I would use one data point(an incomplete one at that) and claim QB's are no longer important.

Especially when you consider the video game stats that the QB's of the best two teams in the NFL currently have put up.

Its an overdose of the drug called copium that gives hallucinations and delusions that Bryce is somehow a good QB.

Yeah, Mahomes' stat line in that last game looks atrocious but if you watched the game a lot of those incompletions were just flat out drops including the game losing INT. That was one of the worst performances of catching the football I've ever watched at the NFL level and I watched Ted Ginn Jr. for years.

Even if you are somehow blaming Mahomes for that game, he isn't having a bad season overall by anyone but HIS standards.

I'd be floored if Bryce was at 63% completion percentage, close to 4500 yds and 34 Total TD's. 

Sign me up for that kind of failure.

      Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.

      As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.

      Absolutely. If we are talking about a 20 year old youngster. He's a grown-ass man, and he doesn't know what his job entails or how to do it? Maybe he will be better next year! It's the Panther way.
