According to NFP's Wes Bunting, Newton looked "physically imposing" and confirmed his "impressive" athletic build. He also has 9 7/8-inch hands. Meanwhile, Mizzou's Blaine Gabbert measured 6-foot-4 3/8 inches and 234 with 10-inch mitts. Arkansas' Ryan Mallett is nearly 6-foot-7 (6'6 3/4) and 253 pounds. The Razorbacks' all-time passing leader has ridiculous 10 3/4-inch hands.

It's all relative. I'm 6-6 and my hands are 9 1/2" and I can easily palm a B-ball... saying Newton's hands are the "smallest" at 9 7/8" would be better stated as "the least huge."

Don't care. How well can they read defenses? Deliver the ball with anticipation and on target to pro WR's with pro DL/LB's in their faces? How well can they adapt to being under center?

Not being a jerk, but I don't care about height, weight, 40 times, reps on the bench. None of that wins games, that is just dog and pony crap. how good a football player will X players be for the panthers is all I want to know.

He could learn to work around it, but still.

Clausen's problems have nothing to do with his hands.

Vick's hands are like 8 inches or something insane and he does fine. Clausen's hands are a bit small but he can still do okay.

It's only a very small negative for Cam, considering his hands are really fine size wise.

Physicaly, Cam is close to a perfect specimen for a QB. If anyone says he has physical flaws, I would ask, "Compared to whom?"

The rest of him is pretty defective, however.

i saw cam's hands grasping the football in his workout and it looked like his hands engulfed the whole damn thing. I don't even want to see how damn huge the other two's hands are.
