Just a couple of weeks ago we were asking why we aren't trying to go further downfield...then we started trying it and we won games.

That discussion and this one both center on the same person, and it ain't Bryce.

Yeah it is one dimensional like you say. There is no concern whatsoever over Bryce’s performance and abilities when deciding not to try downfield throws, behind any of the decision making.

100% correct. Not Bryce at all, all Canales. Glad you understand. We have so many dumbasses that just don’t get it.

The website has him at 204. It was hilarious today when they asked Dave and he was like “well Bryce is 190 physics isn’t on his side” I laughed my ass off.

I’ve joked on here before but I swear I read in training camp somewhere that Mitchell Evans or Coker was the emergency QB on game day. I really don’t think I imagined it. Maybe that is what he referred to they were “working on” today.

Im pretty damn sure it was Evans though.

Actually, it'd have to be Canales.

We've been going downfield on a pretty regular basis since after the first Saints game. If Bryce couldn't do it before, did he suddenly gain the ability just a few weeks back?

Obviously not, so evidence shows it has to be a change of coaching strategy..

...

Evidence, plus I'm pretty sure Canales said so at some point over the past few weeks ..

This is a real dumb weakness to have. If you have known you can't run a QB sneak with Bryce, why haven't you drafted a power back? You. Need a 235-240 hammer for short yardage. If not that, why haven't you drafted a taysom hill like gadget player for just this situation? Jalen milrose from this past draft would have been perfect for these short yardage 4th and gotta have it situation. If your committed to young commit to his limitations and adapt.

So has BY ever failed on a QB sneak? Pretty sure he's batting a thousand on them. But if you don't want him to sneak it, then let someone else do it. You don't take it out of your playbook because you think your QB is too small. That's incredibly short sighted and lacks any form of creativity.

I see a lot of people on twitter suggesting Mitchell Evans (former QB) or even one of the RBs do the QB sneak.

And while yes I agree that's better than just not having it in the playbook the problem is the defense KNOWS youre about to do it. Now Philly does this all the time with no problem but they are a very unique situation.

But if we're inches away from a first, just give it to evans or tremble and let them fall forward. Hell even XL

steelers did it last night.  Rodgers just stood back about 3 yards behind the los with his hands in his handwarmer.
