I'm guessing Bryce was reading the safety there which is why the pass didn't go to Chuba,  in actuality that should have been the pass with him having a blocker in front.

Poor drawn up scheme because if Bryce is reading the safety Tmac should have went vertical, you have to put stress on a defense and make their choices have consequences.

I would understand the quick come back if the Seahawks were in an all out blitz but they only rushed four.

Bryce and Canelas have a lot growing to do if they're going to be successful in this league.

Agreed. I think Canales is not going to bank his career on Bryce Young next year.

If we lose next week, I can actually see Canales being fired. (This is me believing Bryce has more favorability with Tepper than Canales)

If they fire Canales and pick up Bryce’s option then I’d probably become a legit contender for the job.

Yeah, I would have stayed away from Herbert as an example considering they REALLY DO have one of the most banged up OLs in the NFL.  At least our OTs have been mostly healthy. It's been the guard positions, mainly RG.

“Most healthy” we have had how many different OL combinations this year?

We’ll never know for sure, but I’m reasonably certain just based on common sense that our offense functions completely differently with all the momentum and energy of the home crowd with 10 minutes left down one score, than they do with no momentum and a deflated crowd with only 5 minutes left and down 2 scores. The energy shift in the stadium and on the field after Horn’s penalty was beyond noticeable.

Scapegoat protocol in effect. The crowd was pumped 80% of that game. Why didnt the offense do anything then?

So confirmed, his deep INT was a prayer thrown up in double coverage because he was getting planted into the turf.  Even though Goff faced relentless pressure causing fumbles and was sacked more, he still was able to push the ball down the field for nearly 200 yards.

Yah there’s truly no helping you

His first INT was horrible and his 2nd one… boy if Bryce threw that ball the huddle would have a meltdown about that ball being a duck

Nothing about those stats says overrated to me. This year, he’s been playing on one arm and without Alt or Slater and with the ghost of Keenan Allen out there and hampton has missed most of this year, so his “help” this year, is minimal. Bryce can only dream to have those numbers Herbert puts up is my argument.

Herbert threw a 68 yard completion to Johnson yesterday  that traveled 79 air yards...  Bryce couldn't have even gotten it half way

Bryce missed a number of opportunities yesterday. There were guys open but he had either already moved on from them or never even got to them in the progression. He doesn't have a guy right now that he trusts. It was TMac earlier in the season, but he and TMac are not on the same page all the time, and Coker is actually the best WR on the team right now. I know that hurts some feelings, but it's true. The oline got their lunch money taken all day. It was really bad. In both the run game and the pass game. You could see when the QB lost all confidence in them and that mental clock started to shorten. But as a QB you have to push through that and stand in the pocket, go through your progressions, and deliver an accurate ball on time.

But yeah, my biggest take away is that this offense lacks speed and a true playmaker. A couple of solid guys but no true playmaker. As much as BY checked down to RBs, they couldn't make a guy miss in one one opportunities. And they weren't even LBs. They were DBs. You have to make that guy miss.

If they're serious about winning right now and not about player development, then Jimmy Horn needs to take XLs snaps. They only put him in to influence the deep safety with fly routes - XL can do that. Jimmy can run a lot more of the route tree than XL right now. Also Etienne needs to play more snaps. If BY is gonna be a checkdown king, then they need someone that can actually do something with the ball in space. Interior oline is weak. They aren't very consistent getting to the second level. Outside runs are this team's bread and butter. Gotta embrace that.

If Tampa was starting Bryce next week we'd be salivating at the day our defense could have, especially after watching what Seattle just did.

I have said that about Morgan in his playing days looking at facing Bryce, he would be licking his chops. To present a case for Dan having some sanity. I mean no way a real player would fear him, right? But I am not sure any more.

Yes, mainly RG.  Lewis was out some and Corbett/Mayes have alternated at center, which is what they competed for in camp so 1A, 1B; no huge downgrade there between the two. Our tackles have largely stayed healthy and that is you key to pass pro, while acknowledging all 5 positions are important.  Again at this point in the year a lot of teams experience this, we are no exception.

The Chargers started off the year losing their star lineman and it went downhill from there.

Lol show me where I excuse the offense at all. I’d bench Bryce for throwing to the LOS on 4th and 17, too. I’ve said repeatedly that there was A LOT of suckage yesterday. Nevertheless, we had a chance to get the ball back with 10 minutes left, down by only a touchdown, having just scored a touchdown, with ALL the momentum. The whole playbook is open. You can try to score quick and get 2 possessions, you can have a long drive and try to keep SEA from having another meaningful possession, anything. If any one of us were told that we could have a terrible game but still be in that position at that point in the game against the #1 record in the NFC, we’d take it.

For Bryce Young to do what Jaycee Horn did, it would be like if it was 4th down on the final possession and we snap the ball and EVERYTHING goes right. All receivers are wide open. The defensive line has inexplicably walked off the field. Bryce can literally walk the ball across the 1st down marker if he wants to. He could just hand it to a running back and let a teammate walk across the first down marker. Instead, he spikes the ball. That’s the equivalent. Fug Jaycee Horn.

I'm not defending Goff, both picks were bad. Why won't you just admit on Bryce's pick he had a clean pocket, time and a wide open WR that he badly missed. It's okay man. Players can make bad plays.  You have no problem pointing out the flaws in other players, but can't bring yourself to criticize Bryce. I get it, you have over 3 years of emotional equity build up in this guy.  I admire the unrelenting loyalty.  I've had players that I had stock in over the years and yes, it sucks ragging on 'your' guy.  Bad games are going to happen, though.

Bryce’s pick was bad. Where in this thread did I say it wasn’t?

3 years? I was completely over this guy after game 1 in 2023 in Atlanta. Post benching he’s looked better and has shown things I wanted to see. Not much more to it. You allow your emotions to take over much like a few others to the point that it’s impossible to talk anything team related because everything is blamed 100% on Bryce

No his biggest fault is he is a bad QB who should not be starting. Short, weak armed and from the looks of it not a great football mind. But you Bryce Truthers keep grasping at straws trying to prop up a bad player.

BDS is strong on this
