Dave Tepper cleaning house, fired a bunch of team executives

Recommended Posts

David Tepper fired 6 executives ahead of Panthers' 1st playoff berth in his ownership tenure, per sources.
In addition to chief venues officer Caroline Wright & gen counsel Tanya Taylor (1st reported by @fitsnews), VP of tech Rob Bence & VP of ticket sales Mike Brown were let go.

Two lower-level officials also part of the housecleaning.
Via a team spokesperson, the org. confirmed Wright & Taylor (both hired in '23) have left and thanked them for their contributions.
Tough timing after the holidays and before the Panthers' 1st home playoff game in 10 yrs.

RE the dismissals of the Panthers/Tepper Sports & Entertainment executives, CEO Kristi Coleman has final decision-making authority on TSE business-side personnel decisions, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
