I wanted Ladd McConkey. We Got XL. I wanted Blake Corum. We got Jonathon Brooks. I wanted Payton Wilson. We got Trevin Wallace. I wanted Luke McCaffrey. We got Ja'Tavion Sanders. I wanted Caelan Carson. We got Chau Smith-Wade.

With all the wasted trades for our 2024 picks, we could have added Malik Mustapha too.

I know I am not the only one

Ladd was jack poo this year. Seems like that draft second round WR are going to be pretty mid.

so i like Dan Morgan the person the former player who of course is a good role model for these younger players & coaches

however,  i do not like GM Dan Morgan the person in charge of  evaluating talent    ...just saying

Chargers lost Alt and Slater on the oline, brought back Keenan Allen, spent big on Omarion Hampton in the draft and Quentin Johnson finally took off (somewhat), which all resulted in lower production. I would not write off Ladd just yet and he is still miles ahead of XL. Not even close.

Second year knocked it out of the park.  I'll give him a pass.  Coker and Mike Jack more than made up for it anyway.

or so let's be perfectly honest & say Brandt Tillis leaves the KC Chiefs in 25'  & then helps Dan Morgan finally knock it out of the park .prior to hiring Brandt Tillis Dan Morgan was clueless he had a really bad draft in 24' , let alot of his defensive talent walk just to turn around & over spend on the most expensive oLine in the NFL...just saying thank God we have Brandt Tillis

No team hits on every pick.  Every coach and GM will eventually get fired.

We are a better team and have greatly increased the talent on the roster.

Bad GMs lead to losses.

I love the teams current setup in the front office and the process in how we look at talent and coaching.  Canales has often said we want to have a player developmental philosophy as a core tenant.  I love that combined with cutting edge analytics and good football knowledge and experience.
