I'm not arguing that Linderbaum isn't a better player than Mays, just that the difference isn't as much as people might think. At least not compared to the difference in cost between the two players will be.

In any event, I don't expect the Ravens to let him get to the open market.

I do disagree. Mays is a genuine weakness as a starter. We forget what elite center play looks like because it has been so bad since Ryan Kalil left.

The Ravens are pretty cap tight at the moment so unless they get that deal with Lamar prior to the start of free agency, it is POSSIBLE he gets away from them. I agree that it is unlikely. I would just personally not have any issue at all inking him to a $18 mil AAV deal for the next 5 years. That's a position that means a lot on an offense.

I just can’t see Morgan as being under the threat of unemployment at any time this upcoming season.

As little as ‘winning’ the division and making the playoffs impressed me, I think to Tepper it was like nectar of the Gods. A milestone for him. And the team did play well in the Wild Card.

That has to buy him 2027. I would think. Unless we start 0-8 or something. Which I don’t believe will happen.

No, I mean probably 2027/2028. I am gonna guess that once Dave is on the hot seat, Dan is gonna be not too far behind. I think if we drop back to being a 4-7 win team again in 2026 that Dave's seat is REALLY gonna get hot.

These are recommendations   Some are stop gaps. Some potential long term. Panthers need both

1. Chargers edge Odafe Oweh

2  chiefs linebacker Leo Chenal

3  cardinals LT Kelvin Beachum

           (1 year stop gap)

4 Ravens center tyler linderbuam

(My comment, if he is available

       Let Mayes walk)

5. eagles Safety Blankenship

I hate it

I think they have totally tied themselves to BY9. Good luck with that.
If Dan can get that defense really stout he may be able to survive an offensive overhaul.

In theory, it makes sense and it would be so nice to have this position locked in with the league's top center at only 26 years old.

If there's a way Tillis can work the numbers so Linderbaum's big money doesn't start hitting until '27, that could work. Moton costs us $7M in dead cap post 6/1 in '27 and '28, but opens up $21M in 2027. Linderbaum is arguably going to be paid as thee top C in the league and rightfully so. His '26 cap hit has to be small to make sense for us filling other areas and justifying an OL combined salary that resembles the US defense budget.

Shaheed ain't happening. Someone is going to give him WR1 money after these playoffs. Probably the Bills to appease Allen

He has zero receptions so far in thd playoffs. 10 yds receiving in his last 4 games.

Im filthy with the Ikey injury if hes healthy apart from TE,C and a speedster we could have focused almost everything on defense

We needed to pick up some OL regardless.

    • Redeemed ourselves with a solid middle to end the night....
    • This is spot on, with the first 5 years of a QBs contract being so pivotal, as it should, unless you have Pat Mahomes or the reincarnation of Tom Brady, stats shows once the qb gets paid, the teams Super Bowl chances shrink significantly  what we did to get Bryce was idiotic to say the least, not because of the player(not a Bryce endorsement) but because there’s a long history of proof, making big swings at qb, are usually big misses  find the identify, build around that, and go from there. Unfortunately we don’t have one, and neither the defense nor offense side of the ball are more than good at best
    • Seems like a loaded EDGE class. though I think we don't spend a premium pick there with Scourton/Princely showing production and potential.  Concepcion at 19 is intriguing and seen ARSB comps with his shiftiness, high IQ and YAC ability. He and TMac would be a nasty 1-2 combo at stretching a defense. Brenan Thompson could be that day 2 speedy/slot guy that could boost his draft stock in Mobile.  Sam Hecht could be a later selection for C depending on how we are planning to attack that position in FA and our own previous guys. Shelton from PSU is an interesting developmental tackle that if he can get locked into an NFL strength program and rock up, could be good down the road. Speaking of PSU, Dani Dennis Sutton was a guy last year I was big on and was bummed he headed back to Happy Valley. I think he can be a helluva NFL player, and if he can show improvement in his pass rush moves, I wouldn't be mad at him in a trade-back situation.
