Rams are willing to deal one of the 1st rounders for all-pro talent in secondary

That’s exactly why if the Rams came knocking with the 13th overall pick and a package of other lower picks for Horn you accept the trade with your nipples out saying thank you daddy. Scott Fitterer didn’t understand this kind of deal when the Rams wanted Burns.

Man that stinks. Jaycee Horn hasn’t played a full season yet in his 5 year career and only something like 60% of all possible games. Last year he damn near single handedly lost us a few games down the stretch, or at least blew our chance at running a full playbook and competing (Seattle). We’re talking about Jaycee “You’re 15yds from the 1st? Let me get that facemask for you” Horn. Jaycee “lay down for daddy’s team” Horn. Jaycee “paid like a top 3 corner, performs like the #30 corner” Horn. Jaycee “makes Mike Jackson look good” Horn. Jaycee “can’t shadow the #1 WR all game” Horn. I’d trade the guy for a 2nd easily. People calling for two first round picks have lost their minds. Of course, I’d take it, but nobody in their right mind trades even a 1st for him and his contract.

Didn't we just have a thread pretty much unanimously declaring the Pro Bowl to be a complete and utter joke?

Either way doesn't make him worth top 3 corner money.

There was a big corner that shined in the combine that was over 6 foot.  I don't recall the name, and I can't seem to find it, maybe one of you draft guru's will know his name.  If you trade Horn this would be the player I would go after to replace him.  They were saying that he would be the type of player the Seahawks would go after.  

Personally I like the big corners.

Horn is a great player no doubt. As a shutdown man corner he can be and has been elite. But....

He has a lengthy injury history from a variety of different injuries. The cb is definitely devalued in everos scheme and oc's can easily scheme away from horn. His play wasn't as elite last year. And he's not a great tackler. 

Any potential haul remains to be seen but if it's burns level you learn from history and pull the trigger

I'm pretty sure we would all happily take that Rams package they offered for Burns for Horn (2 firsts and a 2nd). But I highly doubt anyone offers that draft capital for Horn (and frankly was a dumb offer by the Rams that unfortunately dumbass Fitterer didn't take).

It's crazy how many of our fans would happily trade away Horn for just pick 29 from the rams when we have a defense that is made up of DB, Mike, maybe Scourton if he keeps improving, and a bunch of JAGs...

Okay I understand the concept of don’t create a hole for yourself where there isn’t one. 
My concern is the concussions. I’d like to disassociate from the risk of them becoming a really serious issue. If I got a 1st round pick so I could replace him, plus…. I would think hard about doing it.

And that is a valid argument. If the concussions were very bad and a future concern, I'm sure that the Rams wouldn't even look at Horn to try and trade for.

I do think if Horn could learn to stop blindly diving in on tackles and learn proper tackling technique, that can limit his concussion risk. Whether that happens or not is unknown

He missed the 1st regular season Rams game due to a concussion and left the WC game with one. They were aware. 
 

I have been very worried about it since the WC game. And we got no updates or reports on how he was doing with the protocol since season’s end.
