Are we really crying about not drafting a SAFETY over a LT?? I would take an above average LT over a All-pro safety every day of the week lol. A safeties impact on the game just doesn't move the needle. Great pick build the trenches, would love a center in day 2. Oh PS Cooper >Lemon

To be fair Joe is an idiot. Started at LT for a powerhouse program all year, not really developmental

Oh he absolutely is. He'll get murdered with his current technique in the NFL.

Yeah, obviously, but not all college LTs pan out at LT in the NFL. Again, where is it coming from other than just the huddle making assumptions?

Considering he was the best LT in all of college football last season, you're the one assuming he'll be a bust.

He is a good fit for LT here in the wide zone and with a mobile qb.  Freeling has some work to do with his balance and technique, but our OL coach--the guru who works with tackles specifically at practice--had a loud voice in the draft room, one can assume.  Ickey was average at T and frankly, not a great fit for our system at T.  As a guard, (I Pray they move him there if they keep him) he could be special.

I think of this as a long-term play that makes the OL cap manageable by 2027.  I think the move might have upgraded 2 positions.

He seems positive and he seems coachable.  I am not too worried--he reminds me of Gross a bit.  Gross was not a LT day 1, but he was a great pick.

The only tackle to score higher on the RAS scale than Monroe Freeling is Trent Williams. This type of build and athlete don't grow on trees. The physical skill set is elite, so it allows him to be a little sloppy with his technique as of now, but the guy is only 21 years old the sky is limit with this kid.

Quote me saying he will bust. Go ahead. I actually am OK with the pick. Im just asking a legit question. And you wonder why no one likes talking to you.

I don't care about what other people think of me. That's a waste of time. Nice attempt of insulting me. Ice up, son. Ice up.

    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
    • At least we have Mike Kay and his little buddy sidekick whoever to put you to sleep when suffering from insomnia. They're all useless unfortunately.
