Day 2 Draft Talk

Recommended Posts

I would love to be able to get Rodriguez but I don't think we are going to be able to. He will be gone unless we move up and we don't have enough picks as it is to give up any. The S from SC would be good in the 3rd.

You know we all love our HOFer Luke Kuechly. Ever since he endorsed Rodriguez I've been 1000000% on board with selecting him.

I did several simulators (which mean absolutely nothing) and everyone of them Rodriguez was gone by 45.

If we could somehow use our extra 5th and move up a couple of spots to get him. I'd be happy.

Him or Hill would be worth it.

Who the hell is Mcpounder?? Lol

Kayden McDonald. The guys at NFL Stock Exchange started calling him that way back when they were talking about him potentially going to panthers very early on (Because of the Keep Pounding chant).  It made me laugh and stuck for me.

I'd like to come put of tonight with two out of the following guys:

Jacob Rodriguez - LB

Anthony Hill - LB

Jake Golday - LB

Dominique Orange - NT

Emmanuel McNeil-Warren - S

Bud Clark - S

Max Klare - TE

What I'm really hoping to avoid is a pick that has us all saying

conor-mc-gregor-who-the-fook-is-that-guy

Those types of guys need to happen in the 6th or 7th or IDFA signings

In no particular order:

DL McPounder

LB J Rod

S Haulcy

I saw that guy. Loved it. Keep

on McPounding.

All about ILB here, DT/DE would be acceptable.

I don’t know the WRs that well but if we get a Temo Lemon I would be good with that. A WR with his physical traits.

A center.

Hard keeping track this year but a brief day 2 outlook…

There’s like 8+ defenders that could be starters if we play our cards right.

Needs: Give Lloyd a partner, improve the full spine with our other 2-High roamer.

CJ Allen ILB

J Rod ILB

Golday ILB

Hill Jr ILB

Stukes DB

McNeil-Warren DB

Haulcy DB

Abney DB

Who do y'all got?

There are a few more Ga Bulldogs in the mix--but I would not discount the 2 DEs McDonald or UGAs C Miller--but Lb makes too much sense.  HAULCY jumps off the page when I look at the list.  I dunno.

    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
    • I mean, our TE room does suck but we had other pressing needs and no surefire upgrades in the draft. I was surprised at how many TEs went in the first three rounds. I think most everyone was. You want a guy who projects at least as a guy who has the potential ceiling to be a starter in those rounds and I didn't see 11 of those in this draft. Off the top of my head, I think that's how many TEs went in the first three rounds. It was in that range. That's roughly 10% of the overall picks. Definitely did NOT see that coming with this TE class.
