Just not seeing it.

A more likely trade partner is Buffalo (as always).

You know what, though? Haven't heard any squawking from inside sources that XL is on his way out. The old adage is that WRs take three years to find their way in the NFL and Canales is a rehabber coach by reputation. I don't think he's ready to give up on XL, yet. Still, this is the Not For Long league and our draft pick this season spent on a WR should be a motivator for XL to play less timidly and compete.

I really don’t understand the urgency at TE. Or to cut bait with XL.

Are people thinking that because Cam did so well with Olsen that Bryce would do the same? I don’t, at all (and Kmet is no Olsen).  We are not Air Coryell or Air Chud, hell we aren’t even Air Shula. We are a lot closer to Air Check it Down.

Re XL, you need depth at WR. We should at least see what camp looks like before cutting bait on him. Make sure everyone is healthy and see what he looks like. What his attitude is, if he is working hard, all that stuff.

Highly doubt he is gone this year (or at least at the start of this year). Brazzell is still a raw route runner and comes from a system that is notoriously awful at transitioning to the NFL. I think XL still has the Z receiver role until somebody outplays him.

I tend to think the Panthers used up their one fleece pass when we got a 4th for Mingo from the Cowboys.

I cannot imagine the market for Legette is higher than a 6th. Which makes it pointless to move him. See how he responds this season and go forward accordingly in the offseason.

    • I never thought a second look was even necessary. I was begging the football gods not to have us trade up to the 1st pick. And damn once we did it was a thoroughbred vs a little pony.    If you have a perceived generational player in the pool and you have the 1st pick, you just don’t trade it. In the first place. But all this Bryce drama - which (understandably) takes over almost any thread, just like this one - would never have happened if the team was not sold to Tepper.
    • I agree. I understand why he did though. And surely he had his parents in his ear who have always gone out of their way to make sure he always had the best and the least amount of adversity around him to that point in his life advising him to do so. Where I take the most issue with it is when people who just want to be sycophants start listing off other QB's who didn't throw at the combine and you don't even make it through half the names before your eyes roll right into the back of your head realizing every single of those QB's who didn't throw already clearly showcased the necessary prerequisite physical talents needed for the position.
