Panthers to draft Cam Newton

My parents are good friends with someone in particular who works within the Panthers organization, and I was told as of today from this source that he can guarantee we will be selecting Newton in the draft. Anyways...figured this news was worth sharing :cool:

Anybody they choose is a waste bc no one is considered good enough at the right position to warrant the pick. So you go biggest need vs biggest upside and biggest impact...and no one can deny that fits Newton perfectly.

If they draft him #1 overall, it better be for trade leverage to get a QB like Carson Palmer and some 2012 picks.

And I was right on these message boards back in September when I said Clausen was a bust when it was the 2nd week and everyone was flaming me. You can just see these things coming.

Either get a QB like Locker or Ponder for value in the 3rd round and develop them or go with what you have and fortify the team's other positions.

Wtf are you talking about? Did you watch the 2nd half? In the second half he threw 2 TDs and rushed for one. He was 13/20 with 3 TDs and 39 yards rushing with 1 rushing TD to finish the game.

Newton lit up alabama by time the game was over. So using one half of play to describe a player is useless. palmer wants to win which is why he wants out dout he wants to come into a rebuilding project. Ponder and or locker being on the board in the 3rd round is a joke. One of them(ponder) might sneak into the first.

John Fox is my uncle and he told me the Broncos were trying to slide back to 3 with Buffalo going to 1 and us going to 2. He's not happy about it but he said that's what they plan to do. He knows we want Dareus and so does he and he feels we are more comfortable taking him at 2 and management for them is fine with PP7 or Miller.

Duh, everybody knows that the second half of the game doesn't matter in Panther's football. First half, you build up a solid 3-point lead. Second half, you run out the clock. (At least that's how John Fox did it.)
