To The "camwagon" Fans

I'm not going to say that you're not real Panther's fans, but you would be advised to do a litttle research on our history and consider the fact that Cam may not exactly be the perfect quarterback you believe him to be. Ask yourself this question "If Cam bombs, can I see myself still being a 'Panther's fan;" if the answer is no then you should simply leave now in my opinion.

who cares. A lot of "college only fans" eventually follow players to pro teams.

People bitch and moan b/c we don't get the media coverage people think we deserve.....well, if you want the spotlight you shouldn't complain about Cam Newton fans. The more fans the more national exposure we get. Who cares if they are Newton or Panther fans. We all pull for the same team on Sunday

We as long tenured fans have always wanted our team to gain the "respect" that we always complained about not getting. I for one welcome all camwagoners, all commercials involving cam, any national tv time devoted to cam, the inevitable SNL appearance cam will make and anything else cam related. Having a franchise QB that we have always craved will do this. We will gain more national exposure, and we will gain new fans as a result. Step off your pedestal and embrace what the panthers are finally becoming.

Just to be clear before everyone shits all over this thread; I'm not saying that we shouldn't welcome new fans, I do, if they develop a love and passion for the team after Cam brought them here I have no problem with it, but if they're going to just bounce after the first bad stretch now that the honeymoon is over I'd rather them just do it now, that's all.

I could give 2 shits why someone becomes a fan of this team.

Many became Panther fans during the SB run. Some left, but most stayed. It will be the same with fans that are brought to the team by :cam:.

And, unless we are talking about FootballIsASport, I haven't seen many people that are solely Cam fans, here or IRL.

    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
