So... Is Bell the starter now?

He had one of the worst ratings for his position last year in the NFL. The fact that he wasn't drafted is not a plus. It makes a sentimental story, but does nothing on Sundays to help the team. My guess is the Panthers are sitting back waiting for someone to get cut.

My guess is they are holding their breath as well....

Don't expect much from cuts. Good lineman are hard to find and most players cut are about as good as bell was last year. Let's just hope he improves this year.

Bell came in as an UDFA and had no off-season and a shortened training camp. He was thrust into a starting role when Otah was injured. I don't know how anyone can decide whether he is any good or not. Frankly I expect him to be much better this year and there are others who can step in as well.

Didn't say he wasn't great, but he wasn't bad neither. He was just above average, but still better then anyone else we got at RT right now.

Bell was above average? If he was above average we have a roster full of All Pros....

he got shoehorned into knapp's zone blocking scheme in oakland and was on tom cable's poo list. he was a workout warrior type dude that didn't pan out once the raiders got their hands on him.

very talented and athletic dude though.

Let's hope he pans out.

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
