A little history on the shoulder pads of Stewart and Lafell

I know everyones seen it and have been wondering why Stewart has those yellow shoulder pads its because hes been wearing the same ones that were issued to him as a freshman at oregan so has lafell who still wears his purple and gold shoulder pads under his panther uniform. Is it superstition? idk but i thought you guys might of wanted to know this useless bit off information.

Don't know if they still do it but some guys would wear the same helmets, pads, etc from college. You always want the best equipment available. I've noticed some newer shirts with gel pads built into the shoulders that many players wear under their pads.

Kind of weird. Definitely some superstition involved. Also,I wouldn't think they'd be allowed to wear college pads...

Is there any difference between college pads and NFL pads?

I have to imagine if they meet the same equipment standards they could wear whatever they want.
