Frank "The Mother F*cking Tank" Alexander - 90 - DE

Yeah, I am tired of hearing how much Norman is getting burnt and toasted. Game one, Norman held Vincent Jackson in check. Game two, he held Marques Colston in check except for the play where he fell down. In the Giants game, he was coached to play a huge cushion like our entire defensive backfield. What he did do was have over eight tackles after the guy caught the pass in the deep cushion he was told to play. This week he did a great job against Julio Jones and the few times he was on Roddy White. O I forgot, doing your job and turning him over to the safety who knocks you down and misses the play on the ball is getting burnt. This kid has done well considering and he has swagger. Quit acting like he is complete garbage.

Yeah a lot of the times Norman shined was when he was in man.

And honestly when I watched footage of Frank I felt good about the trade. This is good, this a good pass rush. We probably would've taken a Pass Rusher in the 3rd anyway so no big deal.

He made some incredible plays yesterday, but also got burned a lot as well. I think he'll improve dramatically as the year goes on.

Most of the times he got burned was because he was expecting help. He really is in a lose/lose situation with Naka.

Norman is very physical, very athletic, and has that it factor. He needs to be playing man to man though, but I have no doubt, in a few years, or maybe even next year, this dude is going to be straight up nasty. He knows what he is doing out there and isn't afraid to challenge the leagues best receivers already this early in his career.

Norman is a physical corner

All this zone crap is not what he should be doing. Man to man defense is what we should be running

totally agreed. bad in zone (much like the whole secondary) but quite decent in man coverage.

i really don't want to see any more zone this year. i don't think we have the corners to do well with it. i think all of them are much better in man coverage...the more aggressive they are allowed to be, the better, imo.
