Remaining Schedule: Who CAN we beat?

Falcons, Bucs, Chiefs, DEN, OAK, Saints, Skins, Bears, Chargers. 10-6!

I think if we play together as a team, we can beat anybody. If the DEF plays like they did against the Bucs and Hawks, and our offense plays like it did vs the Saints and the Falcons. (minus Cam's fumble), we could beat a lot of teams on our schedule.

I think it's unlikely we go on the road and win a game because team chemistry is tenuous at best. If they come out of the bye having made some sort of miraculous turnaround I guess maybe. But right now I expect the road games to be losses.

I'm on the fence about the remaining home games. The loss of Kalil and having to move our OLine around makes me really worry about what will happen going forward. I am not optimistic.

In all cases the thing that kept us in games last year was our offense. Cam is having an off year for whatever reason and our offensive scheme is only making that situation worse. Until that problem is fixed every game is more likely to be a loss than a win to me.

Ah FUG it...we CAN win them all, but I don't see that happening. I'd venture to say we'll lose more games due to botched snaps than games we would win. The scary part in all of this... TCF (that's right, a 3rd person reference) can't even spin this in a positive light. We're just fugged

I suppose that's a fair statement.

We could win any of them. My answer is more for "Who are we likely to beat".

Honestly we could beat any team in the league on any given week. We were one play away from beating ATL and SEA. We could easily be riding high right now at 3-2 and tied for first in the NFC South, but that is not this teams fate. Football karma has bit us in the rear.

I wouldn't be shocked if we pulled off an eight game winning streak or something like that. I don't expect it, but it wouldn't blow my mind. We still have the talent. It's a matter of the coaches losing the locker room (if they ever even had it in the first place). If the coaches can get their act together, we can have a strong finish and very possbily squeeze in the playoffs. Anything can happen. The Giants were in fire Coughlin mode last year and look where they ended up.

I put more stock in the ATL game than the Seattle game as far as what we are capable of.

Seattle did everything they could to let us win that game despite utterly drumming us for most of the game. The most telling part about that game is how terribly their offense played and we still managed to lose.

Can? Anyone. IF they play at their best on both sides of the ball and get a break or two then they can eek out a win against every team left of the schedule but that's a HUGE if.

Will? if we scrape out another 2 wins this year (Bucs & Chiefs) Ill be shocked. Kalil to IR today said to me that they are content to mail it in.

    • More so than the stats it was against that killer defense in their own stadium, the same defense that made Mahomes look like a total JAG in the SB. The way Bryce handled adversity all game was simply phenomenal , the off script play in the end zone, scrambling out of a sack/safety to find XL deep was one of the best plays we have seen out of a Panthers QB on what should have been a game winning drive
    • He’s about to be 0-12 in the conference finals and we’ve been outscored 16-4 in this series after only losing 2 games the previous two rounds and looking really in control of the series. There’s major red flags here as to why he seems so overmatched once he gets to a certain level. There comes a point where “just getting there” isn’t good enough. We are at that point.
    • Listening to the post-game, and holy poo! Has Rod ever said, "this one's on me." When asked about composure, he threw Staal and Martinook under the bus. "Those 2 can't be your best players." Disregarding that he didnt answer the question, does he realize how that sounds to professional athletes? When asked how you prepare for game 4, "I'm not even thinking about that." Clearly, Rod.
