There's a couple of reasonably priced former OG starters

That have been cut in this offseason... guys like Tyronne Green (Chargers) and Adam Snyder (Cardinals).

I'm not a salary cap guy... do we have ANY MONEY at all to sign an approx $2 million dollar player like this?  Or is it all gone?

Cuz I actually like the Kugzilla pick... would just be nice to have some depth at the position and a guy who can start while he learns.

SD and Arizona had two of the worst offensive lines in the league last year.  There's a reason these guys are "former OG starters," and it ain't cause they were too expensive to keep.

Exactly.

If we cut Hangartner....he would show up as a former starter....and he still sucks.

I think our top signing needs at this point are:

1)TE #2

2)SS

3)OT

4)K

5)OG

I'm not sold on Campbell or Mike Mitchell as a starter, maybe the coaches feel differently about this

OT sorely needs depth, Bruce Campbell is never going to be a legit player in this league

I don't know if the cap number includes Anderson's June 1st cut. If not we seem to have money to sign our rookies and find some more guys in free agency. I don't know that we want to add anyone else right now. We might want to wait until some good players are cut from other teams overloaded at spots where we are thin before making moves. We have a history of picking up guys sometimes as late as August who have helped our team the same year.

I don't disagree with the positions...would move G to the top though

I like Campbell at SS, but I do think he'll get thrown at a lot since he has so little experience. While I think he'll be the weakest link I don't think he'll be bad. He looked good in his limited role at the end of last season and he still has all offseason to prepare.

If I had to pick one position I'd like to see addressed I think I'd go with TE-2 for this season. I have confidence in the Piggy/Edmund combo and the secondary doesn't concern me. OT is a depth issue.

i think we'll probably stick with hangartner/kugbila for the year. priority is now RT.

i'd also like to add another WR and/or TE (dallas clark, please). also SS and/or FS and maybe another CB that can handle the edges.

i think, tho, that if all we added was a vet RT we'd be fine. i just don't want to be "fine", i want to be great. that's why i'd like another receiving option brought in.

same thing with the secondary. we can get by with what we have if we need, but i'd like to do better than just getting by.
