Lost in the sauce,beason's play

Beason is having a rough time keeping up in coverage, as much as it pains me to say it. His future in this league is at MLB on another team.

While I don't disagree with you. I feel that most other people's main point of refernce on here is the match up with Stevie Johnson which no linebacker outside of Bruce Irvin would be able to keep up.

He has looked good, we've just been spread so thin that he was forced to cover because we didn't have a 3rd CB.

Btw, who thinks AJ Klein is going to do a better job?

I said this to my friend on like the third play of the game on defense so it's not a conditioning thing. Beason just isn't hacking it. He's stiff, slow to recover, slow to recognize a play or route. Maybe see what Kline can do at this point.

It's Klein, and you can jump off that bridge my friend but I am not substituting a 5th rd pick in for a three time pro bowler in his 2nd game!!!!!! Back from missing 27 games. Guys gotta get back into the grind man, if you want Klein outside, get a Madden connected franchise going because its not happening.

Its possible. Klein looked strong in coverage in preseason.

Possible but improbable. Plus the feeling of having 13 or so mill in Cap space between Beason and Stew sitting on the sideline is a sick feeling when we have so many other holes. That money could be split between 3 average CBs or been paid to a competent WR.

Anyone watch Evans against Alabama(not just looked at the stat line)? If he was available in the 2nd I'd be willing to pull the trigger.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
