@Josh_Thomas22: I will not be playing this NYGiants game for precautionary reasons (doctor). Still put together a week of great team practice.

He also responded to this guy on twitter, who called him out. Not really Thomas fault if he isn't cleared. I'm sure if it was up to him he'd be playing Sunday.

@stewwoot: @Josh_Thomas22 c'mon man don't be a puss

@Josh_Thomas22: @stewwoot hey go root for another team. We can use supportive fans; not bandwagon fans like u.

@stewwoot: @Josh_Thomas22 Might not b supportive but a bandwagon fan? Why would u jump on the wagon of a team that is 0-2? Just used 2 being let down

@Josh_Thomas22: @stewwoot exactly, there r 14 more games to play. Get on board now because as of now ur not helpn us Panthers. #PantherNation #KeepPounding

*just to be clear this @stewwoot guy is not me

That is a big blow to us...Our D really fell off last week after his departure. I don't care that he got toasted two plays in a row against Seattle, if you are playing corner correctly, you get burned a few times...That bend don't break/keep bending for ten minutes and give up a three yard TD run is what kills your defense, sadly that is Josh Norman's specialty.

Can anyone shed some light on why the hit that knocked Thomas out wasn't flagged under the new rule that prohibits ball carriers from initiating contact with the crown of the helmet?  I can find a pic of it but I remember thinking it was pretty clear that Woods lowered his head and plowed right into the side of Thomas' helmet.

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
