Levi Brown out (AZ LT)

I'll post the same thing that I did in the gameday thread...

Levi Brown has been terrible. He had an abysmal start to the season. I don't think it's going to be much of a downgrade, even if his backup is an UDFA. Against Levi Brown in week one, Robert Quinn posted three sacks, three QB pressures, three QB hits, two forced fumbles, and drew one holding call on Brown. I was looking forward to facing him.

And the beautiful thing about it all is that the Cards can't just roll Palmer to the right on bootlegs, e.g., like the Bucs did Glennon, because CJ will be coming at him there, too.  Carson will have to step up in the pocket right into Star's arms, further bulking Star's ROTY résumé.  ;)

I get that initially this seems like an exciting thing to happen, but it looks like anybody they put out there can't be any worse than Brown already was from reading the cardinals forum and comments from Cards fans on the PFT.

Also according to PFF only 2 starting LT's have played worse than Brown. The Giants LT and no surprise here Mike Adams of the Steelers has been the absolute worst.

It's okay to be excited about the pass rush but we should have been this excited already at thought of going against one of the leagues worst LT's. Hopefully his backup is even worst but Cards fans don't seem to think anyone could be worse.

Remember last year vs the Giants when they were missing like 3 o-lineman?

Understand your concern, but I think this year is way different with actually having good DT play.  Manning was able to step up repeatedly in the pocket last year and tear our secondary up.  This year he couldn't and that was the difference IMO

Palmer has never been the same under pressure since he blew his knee out early in his career in that playoff game against the Steelers.  I think he is one of the worst QB's in the league under pressure.

Even that game last week was more about the Buc's miscues on Offense (the 2 big Peterson picks) instead of the defense which played outstanding.  Other than the 1 Fitzgerald TD, the Bucs defense played a hell of a game.

The Cardinals have 2 guys on their team that are absolute superstars (Fitz and Peterson).  They also have some other talented players, moreso on defense, but overall the Panthers have a significant talent advantage.

it is the whole backup QB problem....sometimes you want the starter that was benched b/c the backup is the better player.
