Zod's homeboy Shula

Not flashy, but he hasn't been the dumpster fire some feared.

Outside of Buffalo....his gameplans have been solid. Yes, he could of done things better in some of those games (AZ late) but he has been solid overall.

Chud vs Shula? Give me Zod's homie Magic Mike

He isn't flashy so he gets overlooked. He deserves some credit.

The fact that we have given up two safeties in six games pisses me off.

I'd put both those on players. Kalil/Wharton let someone in free on there error. Kalil got blown up and changed the run path.

Players have to execute IMO.....that is what I would chalk those up to

Eh, both were on the line more than the playcall. Whiffed on a defender the first time and got no push the second.

Yeah, I get ya FP. Not so much a shot at Shula, but I really wanted to make that statement and felt this thread was as good as any lol

Rather than bump my thread, I'll post in here.

I'm pretty happy with Shula so far.

I'm not 100% sold, but for now. He will be referred to as Magic Mike.

I think he and Riverboat Ron might be turning the corner.

I also think they are doing Cam a favor by making him a complete QB and pocket passer. It would have been tempting to go after a Chip Kely type after last year and I am glad we didn't.

I really think Stewart returning will help out with the run game. Williams has been solid, but Stewart is just plain better when healthy. Tolbert is a great short-yardage back, but he's not the consistent #2 we need to effectively move the chains. Stewart will give us a boost, assuming he stays healthy.

    • He had a turnover on all three goals he was on the ice for. Plus he had that god awful delay of game penalty. Like legit his GS actually shows he was the cause of the loss and he was only on the ice for 12 minutes. You remove him from that game and the Canes win or at worst go to OT.  Let's put this in perspective, in 12 minutes he directly led to 3 goals against. In the 48 minutes without him on the ice it was an even-steven 2-2 game and that's disregarding that god awful delay of game penalty that led to goal number 4 of the 5 given up.      I don't see how anyone could say that he didn't directly lead to the loss.
    • reality is the piling on of Frank Reich is just the standard huddle angle we take of putting all blame on someone after the fact.   as I was an OG Frank hater before it was cool to be......now the swing goes too far the other way and people will claim me is as a Frank defender.  Frank Reich was the definition of a .500 middle of the road NFL coach.  He technically was a winning coach and above .500 coming here but he is and was NFL average.  we were the biggest joke in a decade.....because they paired Frank Reich (a dude who was going to do what he does in the NFL) with a dude who couldn't do NFL basics and Frank was forced to play him.  That's not Frank being a loser.  That a bad org around Frank.
    • Toronto is less physical than us, and they took them to 7  I really wish they would have won, because we match up better with them, but we have to deal with what we got  What worries me is Svech trying to take out Bob, that is desperation, that's what you do when you feel like there is no legit options left, it's what I feared, Bob is still in our core groups head, and they are over thinking, over passing Hopefully that changes tonight
