The last time this team was on edge and nervous? Before the Giants game

I hope your right.  A blowout of epic proportions, against an establilshed team,  is just the message we  need to send to the rest of the league.  I want Godell to fine the whole damn team for being too scary for TV

I like it.

In my opinion they know this is the test that everyone wants to see.  This could be the win that puts them over the hump and silences all the doubters about them being legit and also puts to bed the "they haven't beat anyone" notion.

I'm glad they are nervous and they probably should have some knots in thier stomach.  In my opinon this is a threshold game, the panthers either hit the threshold and step back, or they cross that bad boy and never look back.

Ya know what? Earning the respect of the players was never a knock on Rivera, so for him to say this...was for a purpose.  His knock was poor coaching decisions during games, and even that now seems to have been corrected.  So there may be a method to why he said this.

Im not going to lie. Ive had a bad feeling about this game all week anyway. I see us losing this but then stomping the Pats on MNF. The fact they practiced "nervous" today just backs up the feeling ive had about this game. Could be a pretty ugly game Sunday, similar to the Broncos game last year.

    • The year he had another edge rusher opposite him in Reddick, Reddick ended up having more sacks. Burns was good at rushing the passer here but he was taken out of plays far too often by a single TE or you'd never even known he was in the game at all.  The Rams offer was equivalent to prime Khalil Mack or a TJ Watt. Those guys single handedly took over games and stopped drives. I can't remember a game Burns ever did that. Do we wish we had the level of production hes giving right now? Of course. Do I think we'd have it here. No.  At the time, his production was on par with Reddick, not Parsons. Pay production and incentivise potential.
    • Technically our guys are in the top 6 in sacks for rookies and Scourton is tied for the lead.
    • That's why so many said he wasn't worth it here, there was only DB and it wasn't enough. If Burns is feasting then the other guys in NY are doing enough already, Burns is just collecting the stats. It's what he eas built for and is finally in his perfect space to succeed. Im not as in on the new guys yet. More is an understatement but the good news is that they are rookies.
