Good episode that sheds some light on Mitchell.

Topics

-Family and upbringing

-High school, college, and the draft

-Being on the Raiders and lack of opportunities

-How the locker room and team environment is like being back in high school... everybody has each others back and feels like a family.

-Talked about developing a relationship with Cam and letting him know as long as he doesn't turn the ball over he's got him ain't no way the opposing offense is dropping points on them.

-Rumor that Gross started that he can't return a pick for a TD.  Mike accepted the challenge.

-Explains his celebration and compares it to the Highlander when they're absorbing the power.  Says it gets him fired up.

He also brings up that he tries to keep giving pumping positive vibes on the sideline when things get down, said that some people (who wouldn't be named) had a "Here we go again..." attitude towards the end of games and said we can't have that and pointed to the comebacks we had in the 49ers, Patriots, and Dolphins game.

Lol, also said he's gonna start giving interviews like a Ric Flair promo.  Might explain him calling out the Saints and Drew Brees a couple weeks ago and "YOU GOTTA PLAY US!" thing.

Looks like Mike Mitch might be a big part of the turnaround this season.  Definitely seems like a huge boost to the locker room.

I liked it!

Personally thought that fact that he says the team feels like it did back in High School... friends, everyone gets along and everyone has everyone's back was pretty cool!

The Wrestler style interviews part was funny. But, I hope it doesn't get like that. I feel that might be like Clinton Postris' costumes... and just get old quick. lol

Can't say enough good things about Mitchell.

I'm ordering his Jersey today! (SCP please don't buy his jersey)

Additionally, there were some moments in the Dolphins game where I could have used him in my living room for positive reinforcement, and getting rid of my whole "here we go again" attitude.

This dudes a natural born leader. He'll have a "C" on his chest next year

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
