Segment coming up on espn about cam MVP status!

Recommended Posts

most VALUABLE player... when your talking about value, your looking for the player that gives you the most bang for your buck.  that has to be Cam, Luke, or Star... all 3 on rookie contracts making veteran plays.  Tell me a player in the NFL that gives you more value for less money than those 3.

OPY is another story entirely.  id def put manning n that list.

Valuable as in valuable to the team, not a "bargain value" salary wise.  If that were the case, rookies would win MVP every season.

What ever happened to the most valuable player winning MVP.. It shouldn't matter how good Peytons stats are. Cam has done more and will make it farther.

In fact, the reason Cam won't win MVP is because he'll be Super Bowl MVP

Manning is going to get it, but that's not a knock on Wilson or Cam, just how good Manning is playing this year.

Yeah Manning had the MVP locked up by Week10.

I think Kueckly, however, is a very strong contender for DMVP. Could be interesting so see if Thomas Davis takes any votes away from Luke in that category.

I just hate when they say cam has 19 tds, no he has 25 count the 6 on the ground...or cam has 11 ints and Wilson has 6 no count Wilson's 8 fumbles!! 5 of which were lost but still you have to count how many more times he fumbles compared to cam

Just another aspect of the "Cam effect". Rushing TDs will have to be added pretty soon. QBs are scoring more every year. Not like Cam of course, but at an ever growing rate. It will have to become an official part of QB ratings at some point.

In some aspects the world has not caught up to the evolution of what a quarterback is in today's NFL, this is one example.

You said it. Going to be interesting watching the stuffed heads in football have to deal with Cam. Hate to say it. But...espn and its QBR is a decent gauge for QBs. It does give QBs like Cam some leeway.

Exactly what I expected out of ESPN. Asked if Cam is an MVP, Bettis and that other dude said no. His numbers aren't stellar according to them. Yeah..same old same old from the mother ship.

Now really, is this espn hate, or just mad because 25 total TDs is not enough to impress people? Let's say Cam finishes like a boss. Gets to 30 TD passes, and 10 rushing TDs. That will get him some votes for sure. And if Peyton wasn't having a Record Breaking year, he could be in the mix. But right now. Cam's numberz are not MVP worthy.

Hey, I'm as big a Panther fan as anyone. And I have no problem with Peyton winning it this year. He is having a GREAT year. Cam will get his. Just not this year.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
