What 49ers Fans are Saying

To get a feel for how San Francisco 49er fans view the upcoming matchup, I visited a 49ers message board for enlightenment.

Considering the physical beating the Panthers administered just a few weeks ago, one might assume the 49ers fans to be a humble group.

Not the case.

Here are a few pearls of wisdom from their fan base.

7 wins in a row going into Carolina with a healthy Crabtree and Vernon Davis back, sounds like the roles are reversed from earlier this season, feeling very confident about this one, that were the hottest team in football and I think cam gonna choke considering this his very first playoff game

Crabtree had a good game against Green Bay, but what receivers don't? The Panthers have faced, and beaten, high powered offenses all season at home. This is nothing new for them.

Carolina's crowd is pretty meek compared to Lambeau, you score up twice in the first quarter and the stadium gets quiet (ala Philly).

Statistically, Kap's efficiency rating on the road during both the regular season and post-season trumps that of any young QB remaining in the playoffs (kid has earned his stripes). Cam Newton is the only intangible as this is his first playoff game.

Carolina's crowd has been impressive this year. This is the first playoff game since 2008. It will be 90% Panthers fans and extremely loud.

pantlers have a over rated defense, kaep is gonna have a easy day

I'm not sure who the Pantlers are.

The p*ssycats may have won last time, but they didn't beat us. Roman / Kap helped us lose that game more than anything. This time should be different...

Ah yes, the very same sad sentiment Kaepernick had during his post game after being harassed and beaten by the Panthers. Kaep gave zero credit to the Panthers dominating defense, only suggested they 49ers beat themselves.

Overall, the 49ers fans this season were some of the most worthless to visit the huddle. After a week of less than stellar football talk, none returned after they were beaten.

I expect the same over the next week.

That is why I wanted them to lose so badly yesterday.  I woke up at 330ish just to watch the PACK tie the game only to have the 49ers come back and win.   What I did see was a defense that was about half strength make some bad decisions coming down the stretch.

McDermott and Rivera will have them concentrating on maintaining their assignments.

Such a POS fanbase, always wondering why everyone hates them and their team when they basically reflect the worst traits of every bandwagon fanbase with none of these humor that can be gleaned from useful idiots like Saints fans or schadenfreude from Cowboys fans. Screw the lot of them.

We shouldn't ban anyone, I want to see as many 49er fans as possible come to the huddle.

It will only sting them more when they spend all week talking smack, only to get beat AGAIN by the panthers. Then next week the 49ers fans will go back to their regular off-season chats, like which butt lotion TV commercials their QB will star in.

I'm not too surprised that they are giving us about zero respect. Hot teams get let downs though. They might get theirs handed to them on Sunday. I know we had a let down from our win streak. Seattle just had their home field streak die courtesy Arizona.

It will be a hard game and a close one at that. Will be stressful to watch as all close ones are.

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
