Smith will go. There is 0% chance he misses this opportunity this late in his career. He would never forgive himself if he sat and we lost. I think this is just his way of tempering expectations.

Hard to tell how legit this is... could easily be mind games coming from a savvy vet like Smitty, what other motivation would he have for publicly announcing his likelihood to play? 

 

It may be as much of a messages to his teammates as anyone... "Don't let up a little because you expect me to be at 100% on Sunday and save the day".
