"The answer may already be on the roster" is the new "it is what it is".  I wouldn't read much into it.  Of course players already on the roster will be evaluated and considered, but if none of them were good enough to supplant Bryon fuging Bell at RT, then they sure as hell aren't going to take the place of Jordan Gross at LT.

He and gettleman said this at the combine last week about OT and WR positions, its the most political way of being respectful to your roster guys and being honest with the fans.

He can't say wel Byron bell can't even play right tackle and amini/kugbila are fuggin injured all the time so were screwed!, he knows before gross even retired we needed an upgrade at RT so now we need both! Difference is we probably would have kept gross a year and replaed bell with a drafted RT tackle now we need to dip into FA to replace LT and stil draft a RT, people need to chill.

One of these players retired, one of these players plays RT, and 3 of them are on the practice squad... who exactly are they looking at?

not to be negative but I forsee this team taking a step back from 12-4 this year, still think we'll squeeze into playoffs in the wildcard

It's hard to win in this league, but remember Cam led a group of strangers and unknowns with no expectations to their first national title in 53 years. With Cam and Luke being the constants over the next 10-15 years, never count us out of anything.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
