Yea its difficult not to imagine steve being on the other end of plays like that im still having a hard time believeing that ive seen steve play his last down with this team it fuging sucks

There's nothing at all special about Captain. He got raped a lot last season due his size. Here's the problem, we now have so many holes that we can't fill them all with decent players. We're going to have to go dumpster diving for budget scrubs. No choice now. Things are not looking good.

Paying him that kind of salary wouldn't have been good for us either.

 

That, plus I honestly think the team overvalued him a bit depth wise.  Realistically he should have been a pure nickel back, yet we kept naming him a starter.

 

Much as I like Munnerlyn, I'm glad the option to make that particular mistake won't be open to us next year.

Losing Gamble last year was a much bigger hit than losing Captain and Mitchell, 2 mid-tier talents. 5 million a year puts you in CB1 pay, Munnerlyn is not a CB1.
