Bryce might be the most frustrating player we've ever had.

It is a terrible comp. Not sure why 3 people pied you. -

Where was the running game vs Atlanta? -
It's an unnecessary hot take. Both are good. Chuba had the hot hand yesterday. Let's not forget Rico has had nagging injuries all season and yesterday started with him getting dinged up almost right away. When we had Williams and Stewart, Williams was (by far) the better back, but there were always those stretches where Stewart would get the hot hand. Rico is clearly the superior back, but it's good to have someone like Chuba who can come in and make plays when things are bleak for Rico.

Moehrig justified in punching Jennings in the scrotum
CmC2k replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Jennings was taking cheap shots and crack blocks against our DB's all game long. I remember 1 play where Moehrig just completely blows him up and they got into it. I have no doubt that Jennings turned up his talk after that and whatever he said to Moehrig probably justified him getting punched. Our Defense would be fired up if we make the playoffs and got to play the 49ers at home in the 1st round. I don't think Jennings would finish that game. -
I’m with you Bryce had a great game but pride won’t let any of these haters give him credit.

Yet had it not been for some amazing plays by the defense, we would all be looking at this game saying Bryce Young squandered away some golden opportunities, like the pass that was too high for Tremble, or taking a sack on the long drive in the 3rd quarter. I'm glad he played well. I really am. But it's true that a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. Bryce Young is the primary party responsible for nearly all of our losses this season. I have no reason to believe that he won't come out and lay an egg after the bye.

And that’s where a lot of people struggle to see it with Bryce Bryce is never physically going to “wow” anyone. Which will ultimately keep him out of that elite QB tier. Burrow, Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Maye, Stafford People want to put Herbert in that tier because he’s the ultimate highlight type QB. Highlights in this day and age trump just about everything. I’m more inclined to put Dak in that category than Herbert. Then there’s the tier before the elite group. That’s where I believe Young’s ceiling is. Which is fine. You better have a good team and a good coach around these types though. I believe Bryce has a higher ceiling than Goff. Put Young on Detroit and that team has a higher ceiling. Would also have a lower floor but you’d take that. Bryce doesn’t have many true ‘wtf’ moments. He definitely did his rookie year. Granted the bulk of his “supporting cast” and HC are out of the league now and were well on their way out when the arrived here. Due to lack of physical traits and what made Bryce good at Bama this NFL thing was and still is going to take time with him. He’s adjusting to NFL defenses. So sure, we’re kind of in a pickle. Do we keep Bryce and have something like the 10th best QB in the league paired with Canales whose ceiling is probably similar at his position or do we keep doing what we’ve been doing since 2017? This team has been an absolute mess since Tepper took over. He’s finally seeing some wins. I’m all for spending a day 3 pick every year on a QB with traits. But for the time being Young is definitely our best option in 2026 and it would be tough to imagine us having a better option at this point in 2027 as well I know how much the huddle loves charts but this wasn’t happening his rookie year. This chart is 2 weeks old but point remains. It’s also why I said Dalton would be useless against Buffalo. Bryce has done a real good job at avoiding sacks this year and then making something happen. Bryce is fully capable of giving you those 4-5 big plays you need from a QB a game. Those 4-5 big plays just look a lot different than the 4-5 big highlight type plays you get from those physically gifted QB’s

5 games without a turnover, the defense has surprised me a lot this year. Second to last in sacks, yet still getting the job done, impressive.

Dave “Uncanny” Canales His choices are often inexplicable, but work absurdly well about half the time.

Who are the top QB prospects for the 2015 draft?
ForJimmy replied to Panthero's topic in 2015 NFL Draft
Maybe Miller Moss? He hasn’t really shown any progression. -
The cope is real.
-
Do you realize Matt Stafford was the MVP front runner with 30 touchdown passes and only 2 interceptions before our defense got to him? Not perfect indeed, but this year no team has done it better
-
3 forced Turnovers and a win this time...
-
And a healthy Brooks is better than both
-
If you say so
-
Get this defense 1 legit pass rusher that teams need to plan around and look out
-
Very true. Which in part comes down to decent coaching philosophy yielding success. Reality is before the season I expected a bottom tier defense across the board. Currently, the Panthers are tied for 4th in interceptions this year. They haven't been consistently abysmal against the run. They've actually held their own in quite a few games too. Sure, pass rush leaves much to be desired and that I expected, but Evero deserves props for implementing a scheme that's working overall this year.

Official Week 13: Rams @ Panthers Gameday Thread
Jackie Lee replied to rodeo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Get a qb and yeah! -
Everybody made too much of that. The CBA and the 17 game schedule is what kills the cohesion we see in teams across the league in the opening games. You decide, look at your depth and make informed decisions there or you get a an extra quarter or whatever two quarters with your ones. Teams that are set don’t have those openings as much down the roster to evaluate but that ain’t everybody. It is a quandary. I think they need that 4th preseason game back. But as I said, I don’t lay that as the excuse for Bryce to come out looking like he does to start seasons. He has an entire camp.

Hey I said the 1pm west coast team, I said the up down up down and we were due for the up week. You can’t know what is going to happen. There was a guy that detailed why the league would engineer a Panthers win to bring LA Rams back to the pack in conference standings. Who really knows, and how much real belief do you have when citing these things? I generally have as much as my superstition allows. It rarely rises to an emotional experience. Usually it is more analytical. In terms of interest. When crazy poo happens and we win a game like today I for sure enjoy it. I mean you have to think about it, how many times do you connect 2 4th and short situations for TDs? Who does that? That is like the most embarrassing thing for the Rams’ defense lol. That never happens and should never happen. Expecting it to happen might not be a good plan. But it was pretty great
-
The defense has mostly stuck to the "break slowly" and get a turnover or two still zero pass rush
-
Lol even so its no comparison and I also think hes a great fit for rhe scheme Cannales runs.... very Mayfield esque.
-
Lol this poo is gibberish.
-
This has nothing to do with Bryce but look at Mahomes record now that his side is at a Carolina Panthers the last half decade talent level. A good QB keeps you competitive but the rest of the side will make you a champion
