  2. Do you honestly believe this is a team that will even be in contention for a playoff spot this year? To me, if you're not at minimum a genuine playoff caliber team, every win you get is a meaningless win in the end. This is the NFL, it's not peewee league where you just want to win a few games and have fun, you want to get into the playoffs and have a shot at making a SB run. We haven't had a winning season in how many years? Does "enjoying" a small handful of wins every year really make for an enjoyable season for you? I said it months ago and I'll say it forever, I don't care about winning or losing this year, as we don't have a playoff caliber roster yet and I'm a realist about where we are as a franchise. I'd enjoy watching the games so much more if the team and Bryce in particular were just showing marked improvement, even if it came in losses. Because THAT would give me hope for the future of the franchise and the direction we're going. Bryce was complete garbage in Week 1, in Week 2 he was terrible until the Cardinals went into super soft prevent defense and then collapsed gain when the game was in reach, and he was a serviceable game manager today, but didn't make any throws that any college QB couldn't make. This game was a perfect chance to let Bryce go out there and play loose because of the lead, just let him be himself and see if it sparks his college self. But instead, we went unbelievably conservative with the play calling to help ensure the win, when actual wins and losses are the least of our worries this year, it's figuring out what Bryce can be (fans may be decided, but the team obviously has not yet).
  3. Pretty fair assessment overall. I can’t say a lot since I didn’t watch but going by the comments I am betting he (Canales) was very conservative and a large reason would be to prevent Bryce giving it away half the day.
  4. I took issue with what sounded like a hand waving away of his performance since it was the jets/tyrod and “only” a two point win. Context is important, that would be like me just glancing at the box score and saying Bryce was dominant today since his team won by 30 today when anyone who actually watched the game would tell you his impact was relatively minimal. I don’t know what you’ve said in other posts, I was just responding to this one.
  5. The team and fans needed a win. Damn all the evaluation, and especially damn Bryce trying to chuck it all over the field to see what we have in him. Hell, I would argue that we already know what we have, and less is more.
  6. Meaning he wasn’t cut. No big deal to me, they remember things in a way that helps them compete. He should have stayed above the public ‘he said she said’ type situation he invited with those comments. But, no big deal in the big picture.
  7. Sure, let's not throw end zone jump balls to a guy who can do THIS................
  8. How many moonballs will Wilson throw tonight? Yes.
  9. Seems like Mr. Swift might be getting phased out. Seems like there's been a lot more Gray than Kelce in the 2nd half and the Chiefs' offense has been better off for it.
  10. don't bring actual analysis to this thread, we prefer to complain about not throwing it 11 times into double coverage downfield
  11. We still need a number 2 WR. Moore did nothing today. Hopefully Coker is back soon
  12. Definitely years too late but he's learned to pull away. Maybe one day we can stick to talking football again instead of Tepper in every thread
  13. Wow, you guys get mad if Tepper gets involved, you get mad if he doesn't get involved.
  14. Trading Thielen is really biting us in terms of production. O-line took major hits. Coker is down. XL is looking completely lost. It's almost like we're trying to replicate 2023 again but it may be even worse because T-Mac, while having more potential, can't be relied on as much. But when you win 30-0 and you avoid the catastrophes from the first two weeks, you take the W and move on. Besides, QB stat lines leaguewide are kind of getting ugly. There's a few outliers but everything is so dinky dunky nowadays. YPA's are so far away from the days we had constant 50+ point games.
  15. 8 completed passes beyond 5 yards. 4 of which were on his first drive. That's 4 passes beyond 5 yards for the bulk of the game. Mind you we were only up 10-0 for some time before the defense forced turnovers. This is completely unsustainable.
  16. Saw more.footage of Blank wandering the sideline today than of Tepper over the last three games
  17. Bryce pushes the ball when he has the opportunity. Today Canales called a super conservative game. Not much else was needed We also don’t really have the WR’s (outside of TMac) to be pushing the ball downfield. Haven’t had anyone since Bryce was drafted sadly
  18. I would say most of Bryce's throws were catchable at least. He had very few that were just completely off the mark. Add back a couple of those that hit McMillian in the hands and his stat line would have looked more respectable.
  19. Got that right!! There’s only 1 person in my office who pays attention to the falcons (there’s about 10 ride or die UGA fans) and I am going to needle her a good bit.
  20. Just nice to finally have a franchise QB again
  21. Today
  22. Anyone involved in the run defense. For the first half, Robinson had a 10 yrd run, a 9 yrd run and a 6yrd. The other 6 were in the 1-3 yard neighborhood. We basically took away Robinson and forced them to pass more.
  23. We need Coker back to open things up.
