Not one fight in camp this year....not a punch thrown

Per J Jones....some will say this means less intensity..I say means less animosity and a better locker room. No need to fight amongst themselves when they can channel it towards the opposition. The closer this team is the more they have each others back.I would venture to say this is he first time in years that this can be said.Just some food for thought concerning the atmosphere they wanted to nuture on this team going foward.

That's great to hear. I don't mind the aggression and watching players on the bubble try to do whatever they can to make the roster but fighting your teammate is dumb. I am very happy to see we are not like the Falcons who had a lot of fights.

Rather or not teammates throw punches in training camp means nothing. How many of you have gotten into fights with siblings, or even your parents? It doesn't mean you don't love or care for them. It just means we're all human and sometimes someone can say something that pisses you off and you react accordingly.

That being said, I miss Steve Smith and I wish people would stop acting like little girls. "Oh, well we didn't need him anyways!".

While scuffles are expected and generally meaningless have we ever had a punch thrown situation that didnt involve Smith or Collins? I think there is a significant differance between skirmishes and flying fists.

This is in pretty stark contrast to what they've shown in Atlanta's camp on Hard Knocks.  They also showed a speech from Mike Smith where, I'm paraphrasing, but he basically said "One penalty can change the course of a game.  But if you're sticking up for a teammate and there are altercations, that's a good penalty."  Seems insanely contradictory to me.  If you don't watch Hard Knocks, find a way.  Then compare and contrast Ron Rivera speeches with Mike Smith.  The difference is astounding.  I have always thought Ron Rivera would be a good coach.  When we were 1-3 last year, I was finding it harder to justify his continued employment with us, but I stuck to the inherent belief that he would learn the lesson and become a great coach, because he just seems to have what it takes...just needed to learn some things along the way.  The comparison between these two, in my opinion, is why I don't think Atlanta will ever challenge us again as long as both of them are still with their respective teams.  Mike Smith sucks.

    • 5 straight completions in the 4th quarter to get into the red zone and then score a stand up rushing TD and celly in one of the best defenses faces to bring the score within 1 possession against the super bowl champs is "stunned" to you?
    • yes, if you read what I said - that was due to his record breaking 245 yard 4th quarter performance in garbage time when the Seahawks were already celebrating. If Bryce puts up big numbers in the 4th quarter, people like you are quick to call it garbage time stats but seem to get selective when other QB's do it because it doesn't fit your narrative.  also, I'm logical enough to admit that Drake is a great QB and his performance had a lot to do with his protection, play calling, and other aspects. The game does not fall completely on the QB. Just like how the Panthers were still in the game vs Seattle until Horn's penalty changed that. It is a team sport, so many factors, players, refs, coaches are involved and it only takes one thing to change the game. the obsession with Bryce is just nauseating at this point and if you pay attention on here, it's the same 10 users quoting and pieing each other. it's super weird and everywhere else you go, opinions on Bryce are trending upwards. the way the season ended, the vibe at the stadium, the performance, should have everyone excited about this next season. Idk, maybe I just look at life and my entertainment outlets differently than others.
    • Are we sure something hasnt happened to him because that seems pretty shitty to simply abandon this place
