Playing Smith in Baltimore

Please don't sleep on Torry Smith....that's what I'm feeling. I hope we don't put all of our eggs in a Steve Smith basket and become complacent of the other WR's

Like Mr. Scot said as well, it's just Steve Smith. He is still the same player our coaching staff/FO decided we were better off without. They aren't going to over-commit coverage on him because a bunch of "Panther fans" think he is still a Pro Bowl caliber wide out.

I hope Steve has a good game, I hope we win and I hope Cam photobombs the eff out of his post-game interview.

I'm over it. He was my favorite Panthers player when he was here, but having him here might've stunted the growth of other receivers we've had.

In the end, Smitty will retire a Panther.

But it's Cams team now, and I like it that way.

Cam, KB, and Luke are our future and I have to tell it you, it feels pretty darn good to be able to say that.

I'm with P55, Panthro and others who think he'll probably be underwhelming.

Mind you, any reception he does make, he'll likely celebrate like it was the last minute Super Bowl winning circus catch of the decade.

Yeah, he is going to catch a six yard comeback route on the sideline.  He is going to spin the ball and smack his facemask.  Then we are going to sack Flacco five plus times and coast to a relatively easy 21-3 win.

I remember watching an episode that was on ESPN where Smith was asked about the "Ken Lucas situation". Smith replied by saying to this day, there are people on this team that hasn't forgave him for that incident. I believe he said the defense but don't quote me on that. It will be very interesting to see how this team responds to him out there. Truthfully, Smith is my all time favorite panther but of course I want my Panthers to win so that is the top priority.

Everyone who doesn't think Smitty is gonna come ready to have a 10+ reception, 200+ rec. yards, and 2 TD game is crazy. He may still love Charlotte, but he wants to prove he still has it. And guess what, he does. I don't think he is gonna go off, but don't expect anything less than everything he has that game. I don't care if he says it aint personal. It is. He will treat it that way. Plus he actually has threats around him now.......we better come to play.

If he still has it why has he not had a game with those stats you described in 9 years? Just didn't care or something?
