Spiller is also a beast at KR and PR. And he's already better than any of our poo RBs.

I'm not questioning whether or not he's an upgrade. The rate we are going through RBs this year it almost seems certain we would only get a game or two out of him before he went down with an injury.

We are obviously not taking a win-now approach, but rather gradually building. Plus the cap considerations and looming contracts aren't conducive to trading (for anyone with any instant impact anyway). Furthermore, G-man strikes me as the very conservative type when it comes to making moves at all.

Spillers got talent but we've got enough talented injury prone backs already. Only way I consider it is for a 6th or less and that's only if we can afford him which I doubt.

Can't give up picks, as that's not DG's style, and it's cheap labor when we are going to need it.

 

Have to give up a proven player who is at the top or near the top of his game, and has a manageable contract.

 

Those players:  Kalil, Cam, Star, Luke, KK.

Really though, if a team is willing to trade for jstew or dwil that would be awesome. Very improbable, but stupider things have happened
