Ray Rice is getting his suspension appealed and will likely be reduced now the NFLPA has finally filed a grievance. He'll be on a roster within a couple weeks.

 

Aldon Smith is getting his suspension reduced for "good conduct" and will likely be playing within a couple weeks.

 

Why do you suppose throughout all of this, Hardy's name has not been mentioned?

If Hardy didn't appeal his guilty verdict he probably would be suiting up this week. He is getting paid to sit at home and then faces 6 games suspension if it goes to trial in November and found guilty again.

Hardy should get 'time served' if a guilty verdict comes in from a jury.. Suit up Greg, release him.....

that won't work considering the franchises need no explaination for cutting anyone at any time.

Hardy is on the exempt list with pay. This is not considered punishment by the NFL. He has not been suspended. A player can only be punished once per violation. Hardy will be suspended after the trial and even if he is found innocent (my opinion). Expect Hardy to begin serving his suspension next season. We will never see Hardy in a Panthers uniform again due to JR valuing his reputation/legacy over winning football games. Remember that JR is near the end of his life, and it doesn't take much to get him crying and upset. No way he'll have Hardy return.

Bc they are all apples and oranges.

Hardy remains where he is until his court date.

Even if innocent don't count on Hardy coming back this year.

I'm completely aware that Hardy isn't suspended as Rice and Smith are. But equally as important is the fact Rice was not convicted of any charges, like Hardy.
